  1. pegged is where the weight doesnt slide and unpegged the weight slides but for tubes i have trouble hooking fish using a trig im a big fan of the internal jigheads they are not weedless but the internal jighead is alot more snagproof then a normal jighead
  2. lol i totally agree with u yea sounds good are u planning a tube bite? i need to know what tackle to buy im low on nearly everything yea then u should go over to raystown branch with me and ill show u how to fish
  3. ok we left it open i case anyone wanted to join us fishn that live in the area
  4. lol yea i always see muskies on the river but i dont care about them i would rather see them out of the water they eat all the smaller smallies and gillies i have already reeled in half bluegills from a musky biting them when im fighting them but the smallie fishing in the area is awesome

  8. there are no bps around my area but im not sure about megabass but my dicks sporting goods sells lucky craft lures at the going rate im sure u can find them online for cheaper cost my fav for buying lures online is good ol' ebay but as far as tackle shops try dicks
  9. big 10inch ribbion tail worm big hook heavy line heavy rod and heavy fish
  10. yea try tubes if the smallies are real active try some trigged flukes keep switching baits til u get comfortable bass fishing weeds if it is shallow try some topwater too smallies love spooks and poppers
  11. i fish creeks alot and the smallies up here actually burry them selves into the mud and rocks on the creek but not all smallies will hibernate try fishing the deepest holes that u can possible find also fish around bolders more bolders u fish around in one area the better the chance of catching one. its very difficult to find active fish and the active fish are going to be very spread out cover as much water as possible try super finess techiques but dont repeat cast unless u get bit good luck man if u try it again i went out from the 26-29 and got one bite the entire time on a creek
  12. about 2 weeks before memorials day weekend hell with trying to find those prespawn cold weather fish
  13. o man that would be a great sport i would letter in it lol yea to bad im a senior and if that would be added to my school it would be too late, i know if a proposal went up at the schools here in the pittsburgh area there would definety be some support. remember the sold out mellon arena during the classic in Pittsburgh?

  16. omg i love that river what part of it do you fish? i fish between tatesville and hopewell. yea i went 3 times last year one was in early may and me and a buddy only caught 4-5 but all descent size then i went sometime in june on a boat above tatesville bridge and catch close to 50 using a heddon torpedo and then i went once down in July and didnt do real good caught some but the river was real low and clear
  17. hey fishn i like them but most of the time i think that it doesnt matter whether use them or the regular but there are some times that the bass will not hit a tube unless there is a rattle if i was you i would buy a few and still use your traditional style jigheads but if you are having trouble getting bites try the rattle jighead these might save u money by not having to use the rattle jig more and losing them
  18. really? a guy that lives down the street from me is taking me up there steelhead fishing sometime in january or feb. not sure when im excited for that
  19. what lures and sizes work best when fishing the wacky rig? i tryed a good bit last summer in some lakes and rivers with no much sucess but when talking to other anglers from the area they say it is one of the best techinques around. i was wondering what i could do to put more fish in the boat using it.
  20. ive been fishing down in south somerset county in some of the creeks and there are no bass active in any of my 3 favorite creeks i guess i got to wait til spring
  21. yep exactly i love fishin the queen. i only ever fished lake somerset once without any success. im mostly into fishing small rivers like the raystown branch down in bedford or little wills creek/wills creek and yellow creek
  22. i was just wondering if anyone fishes around cambria /somerset/bedford counties pa or allegheny county maryland
  23. i like the carolina rig the best let it sink and just reel in slow so it is just suspended over the bottom i use a light weight and like it for weededges
  24. nice fish where did u catch it?
  25. i used a very similar rig this year on rivers with great success. a tube worked good but the best baits where a 5in fluke and a 5in trick worm i like the action of the fluke because it looked like a baitfish swimming in the current. make sure u change weights depending how fast the current is. a heavy weight is weak current causes snags and a light weight in heavy current doesnt give a great action but instead rips the rig down current i hoped i helped
