  1. I have 2 crankin sticks, a 7' extreme, an extreme reel, 2 JM signature reels and a JM elite reel. Not a single problem, reasonably priced (all were purchased on sale) and good quality. I would recommend their products.
  2. I use the Cabelas rod sox, solved the tangling problem in the rod locker, fits casting and spinning rods
  3. I recently switched to the J-knot. No problems as of yet, and it's easy to tie too.
  4. T-rigged june bug worm
  5. Saladmander, go to BPS site and select your store and you will see the ad for that store.
  6. Thinking about another Johnny Morris Signature reel. Have one and an Elite, very happy with both.
  7. I have 2. Decent rod for $30 on sale.
  8. I have 2 of the BPS reels and am extremely happy with them, very smooth, cast control works great. Getting ready to buy 2 more. Don't know for shure but I heard that they are made by Pinicle.
  9. I've been using the J-knot. Simple to tie and no break-offs yet. What ever knot you use, wet it before you tighten it.
  10. Given a choice, I'll take the paved road. That gravel can do a lot of damage to your boat and trailer. I put a lot of time into keeping my rig looking nice.
  11. Had one too. It was an Abu Garcia. The frint side of the foot broke off. Wasn't too tight and no abuse. I was disapointed because I liked it but it wasn't very expensive so I just replaced it but now I'm very hesitant to buy another.
  12. Another vote for color. Amazing difference.
  13. 1) fish more crank baits 2) fish more jigs 3) fish more
  14. I did the same thing a few years ago. I used paint remover on what I also counted about 7 different colors, primed with an aluminum compatible primer and spray painted it with rustoleum and a spray gun. I sprayed the inside with a flat color, cut out plywood to fit the floor and covered it with comertial grade carpeting to reducd noise. added pedistal seats to the original bench seats. It looked like a new boat when done. Good luck with your project, it'll be worth it when you're done.
  15. Just my $.02 I have known a few people that towed with Chrysler mini vans and have had problems with the transmission, some multiple catastophic failures. Be careful !!
  16. Last Thursday, a 2-1/2 pounder. Stopped for 20 minutes of fishing on my way to work. A great way to start the day.
  17. if you crank the bail closed it can, at times, cause the line to lay across the end of the spool where the drag knob is, thus causing a loop. I prove this on a fishing trip one time while spending a lot of time watching the reel to try to figure out where the loop was comming from. Believe it or not, closing the bail by hand solved the problem.
  18. Next weekend..........first fishing trip for this year
  19. I found it during a serch for some information and was amazed by how much was here. I just read articles and forum entries for 6-8 months before actually joining.
  20. Thanks for all the help guys. I'm going to BPS next week and I think it's going to be the BCR803. Thanks again for all the posts. This is an awsome site with a lot of great members that know how to show respect to others.
  21. Hi, forum newbe here, I'm thinking about a G-Loomis Mossyback rod for worming, I'm looking for a sensitive rod that will cast well with lighter weights and braided line. Anyone have any experience with this rod or any better ideas. I did fish with a buddies St Croix and found it to be very stiff feeling on the cast. Thanks for any input.
