  1. "The Bassresource Master Classic" we could call it.
  2. Next time just holler "DUCK" before you set the hook...Lol.Hope she's alright.
  3. I agree with everyone :somrthing that's loud(buzzbait,prop bait,popper,spinnerbait)and/or something dark in color(black,purple,etc.)Actually,used to catch a lot on a worm.doesn't cause a commotion,but it works.Always use the darker colors.
  4. Welcometo this forum.Lots of info floating(couldn't help it) around here.
  5. Don't know if I can answer your question, but whenever my lake is fertilized the bass just quit.Oh, you may catch the odd fish here and there but the bites are few and far between.I'm no biologist and certainly no pro,so I'm wondering myself what's up.Maybe some of our more experienced posters can shed some light on this topic.
  6. If the water is muddy, you'll need to fish a bait that's a real bright color or that is really loud (or both).Muddy and cold water is not a good thing.Living in the deep South,I rarely experience both of these conditions at once, but I bet our Northern bassin' brothers could educate you on that.
  7. Read the one by Jimmy Houston. It was pretty good.
  8. Welcome!
  9. I read that same article.I'd go with crawdads.
  10. There are some real "bassmen" on this forum.I've picked up several tips that I've taken to the lake and had success.
  11. I've fished jerkbaits w/rattles in it and it does work at night.
  12. Yes it's true you,ve got to try and keep the noise down.I've often wondered about the noise of a TM.Seems like it would spook a fish at least as bad as a noisey bait landing.Anyone got an opinion on this?
  13. I had an old Evinrude 20 hp that had one on it.It was a smooth ride.
  14. I use a Hummingbird Pirhana.Works really well.
  15. I've always heard that a falling barometer means the fish go really active.
  16. Jerkbait,topwater.spinnerbait,Minus 1 crankbait.
  17. I fish with family members most of the time, but I also enjoy going it alone.
  18. I fish in hot weather conditions about 85% of the time.I've found that the early bite finds the fish shallow and in an aggressive mood most of the time, but not always. When it hits late July in S. Miss.,even the early bite falls off.
  19. I like Ambassaduer's and Quantum's.I know there are better reels out there, but you go with what you can.
  20. May God comfort them in their time of sorrow.I'll pray for them.
  21. I think with all of the fishing pressure that today's bass may be a bit more reluctant to strike an artificial bait. That's not to say you can't just slay 'em at times, but it seems like 25 years ago those days were more frequent.
  22. Does the river have any wood cover relatively close to shore? If so, I would start my efforts there.I have a lot of luck throwing an H&H spinnerbait in white or chartreuse.Downsized crankbaits banged through the cover is also a good strategy. The key( at least where I live and fish ) is to throw smaller versions of popular bass baits to the relatively smaller river bass.

I agree w/ Roadwarrior. It sounds a lot like a bream or possibly a small bass.Maybe you should change lto a lure that a bream couldn't mess with as easily.I miss bites on plastics, but after 2 or 3 in a pretty short span you chalk it up to a bream.
