  1. Dont confuse the BPS XPS cranks with the regular BPS cranks.. The XPS that I have used have been very good but some of the regular BPS is just total cheap garbage
  2. I use a 4" soft swimbait body, makes the jig "swim" through the water
  3. Hoping to pick up a Mojo MBS68MXF spinning rod tomorrow, recieved an email from St Croix stating " We are out of stock on those right now until mid April. All of the models in the Mojo series have been extremely hot, and they're going out as fast as we can build them."
  4. I have that rod in MH 7' and like it..
  5. I use Cabelas neoprene chest waders with the stocking foot and just wear an old pair of sneakers or boots..They are great for early season but are to warm for summer..I think they sell for around $60 Bass pro is having their spring sale in a couple of weeks and they have breathable stocking foot for $70 so i think I will pick up a pair of them for warmer weather. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_98057_175009000_175000000_175009000_175-9-0
  6. Its a part of racing Vickers interview "i wouldnt wreck anyone in front of the whole pack" He must have forgot Talladega in 2006 where he took out Johnson and Jr..he did the same thing to Johnson that Jr did to him
  7. I think its the case with all crankbaits. You can buy 5 exact baits and only 1 might produce..Maybe a very small manufacturing defect that seperates the non=productive from the others.. As far as lip-less baits go I use a few differant manufactures,Rat-l-trap,Spot,Rattlin Raps, etc and have found that if 1 certain brand is not producing I can switch over to another and catch fish. Sometimes they want a differant sound or a slightly differant action. If I only limited myself to 1 brand of baits I think I would be missing alot of fish
  8. After I'm done shaving I store the razor head in a plastic baby food container filled with alcohol and cover..they last a long time

  11. Did anyone see the Cubs Class-A affiliate Peoria Chiefs and Dayton Dragons, the Class-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds game?? MWL suffers black eye with Chiefs-Dragons fight Two days after the nasty bench-clearing brawl at The Palace of Auburn Hills between the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks and the Detroit Shock, the Midwest League had a fight of its own in Dayton, Ohio, on Thursday that made what happened in Auburn Hills look mild in comparison. Fifteen players and both managers from the Dayton Dragons, the Class-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, and the Peoria Chiefs, the Class-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, were ejected following a 10-minute melee. Peoria pitcher Julio Castillo attempted to throw a ball into the Dayton dugout at the beginning of the fight, but missed it completely. The ball struck a male fan in stands, who had to be taken to the hospital. Castillo, 20, was arrested and faced a felony assault charge Friday. video http://www.mlive.com/whitecaps/index.ssf/2008/07/mwl_suffers_black_eye_with_chi.html

  14. I have 3 rod holders on mine..The 1 on the front holds my rod when I'm paddling and the 2 on the back hold spare rods.. I only use mine for river smallmouth fishing getting from spot to spot so I don't need a depth finder or anchor..I try to keep it as simple as I can
  15. Does anyone have any experience with the plastic wiffle ball type pitching machines ? My daughter just started her 1st year of softball(8 y/o) and I'm looking at the cheaper pitching machines $200 and under to help with her bat/eye cordination.. Thanks
  16. I use the BP rod sleeves then I put my rods in the Take It Easy Rod/Combo bag from BP..I can carry 8 combos without any damage.. If I'm only carrying a couple rods I use the neoprene rod wraps
  17. on the 5" I use a 4/0 or 5/0 weighted hook
  18. If I find a bunch of fish I change lures just because I know the fish are there and I want to see what else they will hit on.Nows the time to bust out that Dancin Eel to see if it will work ;D
  19. The 100's have a spool shaft clip in them.#2024 on the schematic.. I always remove the cast control knob then the plastic washer, then the clip, and then another plastic washer(look how they are positioned) http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/fish/sac/us/en/customer_service/Reel_Schematics/chronarch_schematics.-MainContent-0005-DownloadFile.tmp/07CI100DSV.pdf.pdf
  20. Same here,I burn them as fast as I can..the fast speed doesn't give the bass time to check it out and its usually a rod jarring reaction strike
  21. The rabate says it has to be postmarked by may 1st
  22. I used my 100 and 200 for the 1st time today..I really like them especialy the 200..I threw a couple baits with my green Curado and was thinking the same thing about all the metal and the thumbar felt better.. Well by the time I made it home the bait monkey had the better of me so I ordered 2 more 200's,guess I'll have to retire my old red Curado's :'(
  23. Tried the Money Maker today and caught a couple decent pond bass on it..Used a 3/16z weighted hook but it seemed to light and rode high in the water.. I lost 1 when a leader knot failed on me..I was watching the bait when a bass swiped it and the bait was gone,no hook set or nothing.. An hour later I was throwing Lip-less cranks and caught a bass and saw it had line coming out of its mouth..I was thinking NO WAY...looked down its gullet and started pulling gently and sure enough, out popped the Money Maker
  24. I slept right through it and I usually feel everything
  25. If you think its smooth and fast now, give it a good cleaning and relube with good oil
