  1. Great looking rod. Looks like it will serve you well.
  2. Thanks for all the advice guys. I've got myself a winter project now.
  3. Five Bass I was thinking the same thing. Get everyone excited to watch it with the Shamrock Slice match and then it's gone. Actually Yahoo had an article up yesterday saying that right now Kimbo was the only thing carrying the Elite XC. They pretty much said if he had lost to Ken that was the end of the XC. They also discussed how he hasn't had any major fights yet. So maybe was teh plan all along?
  4. Thanks for the story. Wow only 14 seconds. I was looking forward to atleast 1 round.
  5. Hey guys major let down, no Slice Shamrock match. What happened to Ken? I missed whatever they said. Turned it on just in time to hear it was gonna be someone else and Kimbo. I was looking forward to seeing what was gonna happen.
  6. That's a good looking color pattern. It's got a nice dark profile.
  7. I also am always having to pull up on either concrete ramps or gravle and sandy banks depending where I am at. I also woulnd't have a boat without one. It's nice not having to worry about the hull when you beach it. Catt that's a pretty interesting idea. It's pretty cool how they can uses that to change the performance of your boat. It all makes sense but I've never seen something like that before.

Looks great. I like that pattern alot.
  9. Yeah there's gonna be another new little Ed running around.
  10. Looks nice and clean. I hope it serves you well.
  11. They are different sizes. I learned that with a Evinrude trolling motor that was a Minkota and they gave me a Motorguide prop. Yes they did take it back.
  12. For the sore throat you could gargle with some salt water. You could always try some Vitamin C although a few of my classes lately suggest it really does nothing for colds. bassdocktor
  13. Thanks Dave. I kinda figured the entire finish didn't need to come off since it will be dark. I figured roughing it up some would help the paint stick a little better. Seems that way with most plastic surfaces from what I've read. Now all I need is some time.
  14. That's funny. You have to love the occasional good pirate joke.

Like everyone else said its great to see what you guys are all doing. It probably gives other guys ideas to try and I'm sure it inspires many out there to atleast try painting one. As always another great batch Big M.
  16. I've seen stuff like that with spinner baits so I'd think it'd work here too. Maybe you could put an old worm in there to help hold it on. Put it in the tube and thread it all on?
  17. That's a nice looking gar. Much bigger than I usually catch or even see.
  18. I've got a few crankbaits that I wanna put a different color on but have a few question. Didn't really turn up what I wanted on a search here either. 1. I'd imagine I need to do some sanding or something to remove the original finish assuming these are new? What would I need to use? 2. Assuming the old finish is removed do I need a primer or should I just use two coats if it is just a single dark color? 3. Lastly, what would be the best way to seal these? (all plastic) I saw references to both epoxy and a few to just clear enamel. Thanks guys, bassdocktor
  19. I know I've seen Rick Clunn using his stuff. We've all at one time seen Boyd Duckett using those Carrot Stix but if they were his model I have no idea. I know in Bassmaster I've seen 1 or 2 using their stuff too, not just saying they were but actual pictures.
  20. My cleaning always starts with the shop vac to get as much up as I can. Almost everywhere I go has a gravel or sand landing so thats an important step. If it isn't too dirty I'll use one of those small Bissell cleaners with a cleaner for high traffic or dirt repelling, makes it smell nicer too. When it gets really sandy/dirty I'll use the shop vac first and then hit it with the powerwasher. After I powerwash it I'll use the shop vac to pull out most of the water. Between the powerwasher and the vac you should be able to get most of the dirt out of the boat.
  21. Looks like you built yourself a nice rod.
  22. Awesome looking batch.
  23. Nice looking paint jobs.
