  1. Anybody ever order from this site? I was searching for a Saros 2500 and this site came up on google with an incredible price. $98.56 shipped is the cheapest by $20 that I have seen. Just looking for some feedback from anyone who has used them. Thanks
  2. I too am interested to see what people say. I was looking to pair a Saros with a 6'6 Mojo Senko rod as my primary spinning setup. I was pretty set on the Mojo before I read your review. I probably won't make the purchase until the Spring Classic where I will have a chance to get a feel for other rods as well. Interesting to see a review from those that have fished the rod a few times.
  3. Great question. I am in the same boat as you are and am wondering the same thing. What rod are you pairing it up with? I would love any opinions on a 6'6 rod for a saros.
  4. X2 with what micro said. I did exactly that last year and it worked well for my applications. The few overruns that I had were bc of operator error, ie. switched to a lighter lure w/o adjusting. Good luck
  5. That is what I thought, and how I have been rigging them. It just doesn't seem right because when you slide the head of the worm over the hook it gets all torn up. I do agree that is probably the only way to rig it though. I was also thinking of sliding the worm over the hook and then giving a quarter turn to "lock it in". I also plan to look at some other brands. Thanks for the help.
  6. Large surgical hemostat. They lock onto the hook well and you can clip them anywhere for easy access.
  7. What might this other brand be?
  8. Well, you guys talked me into it and I picked up an mg51 off TW this morning. I just had to wait until i sold the revo, thanks JigNBig. Thanks for all your help guys. Jon
  9. Muddy, I am not sure we are talking about the same model. Here is a picture of the one I have.
  10. Nobody has used these? I guess my second question would be, what do you recommend for a shakey head?
  11. Anybody used these before? If so, I was wondering how you rig them? Every time it seems like I tear the head of the worm up sliding it over the wire. Sorry if this is obvious, I just can't get them figured out. BTW, the ones I have, the wire points away from the hook side. Thanks, Jon
  12. Now that I have a reel picked out, will it work with a Med. BPS cranking stick? I have the rod already, but could upgrade. Also, for throwing the lighter stuff, would it benefit me to look at getting a ML action rod? Or would that limit my options too much. The rod right now is rated 1/4 to 5/8 oz. Thanks , Jon
  13. It looks like the ardent C400 is only RH. Unfortunately I am looking for lefties. Thanks for the input though. Calcutta, I think I am actually going to get an mg50 for the purpose of throwing light cranks. If I like it, I may just have to purchase a curado at the Spring Classic and sell the Revo. The more I research these forums, the more I like shimano. Then I realize I have never thrown one before.
  14. After your remarks...hmmm.... $220? Seriously though, $120 shipped to your door. Send me a pm if you have a different offer. Jon
  15. Thanks ebby. I used the LH revo the last few trips I went out. I bought the RH model during the fall and used it twice, but once trying a friends LH retrieve I felt they would better suit my needs. Since then I have only used LH models. Don't worry Jig, I am not the type that gets bent out of shape, I understand there are many misunderstandings and this was just one. I could also rephrase my first post, "I have a Revo SX that I will use..." I say this because I am looking for answers to set up my arsenal for 2009 which probably won't start anytime soon here in Chicago. Also, thanks a lot for all your help guys. I think I am going to look for a good used mg51 for light cranks. Again, no hard feelings Jig. Back to the superbowl. Jon
  16. I just figured it out. I didn't realize it was on the right hand side. Does that work for all items or what?
  17. ok, sorry about that. How do you do that for future reference? Thanks Jon
  18. It looks like the mg is $186.88, not $168. It is like an optical illusion especially with the red writing. lol Anyways, still a good deal.
  19. I know it's almost super bowl time, but I wanted to try and get this question asked before I buy/trade for a new reel. I have a Revo SX that I use for most of my applications (3/8 oz to 3/4 oz), but I need a reel for throwing smaller crankbaits (1/4 oz). It will be paired with a medium 6'6 BPS Crankin Stick. Here are some of my options. 1.Curado or Citica E's. 2. Citica 200 D. 3. Get another Revo SX. I am rather new to BC's and just looking for preference. Thanks in advance everyone. Jon
  20. I bought a pack of BPS pink floating worms. My question is, how do you fish them? Also, what size hooks and weight work best in each situation. Thanks, Jon
  21. LOL on the bowling. That is about the time I get up on the weekends and since the TV is on ESPN 24/7, I get bowling when I turn in on! If it were me, I'd have an ESPN channel designated for fishing only, one for college basketball and football, and one for sportscenter. I'd never go to class!
  22. I can't find the max amps drawn from an endura 50# thrust. I have looked at all the paperwork they gave me and checked online. I think I will pick up the minn kota 60 amp manual reset circuit breaker they recommend at Cabelas this week. It will work with my 12V system and I can use it when I upgrade in the future. Would anybody recommend something different? As for the wire, I am either going to attach 6 gauge to the existing 10 or if I have enough 6, I will attach it directly to the trolling motor unit and run it to the battery. Thank to everyone that has responded. I am just getting back into bass fishing, but this is my first time with any kind of boat. Thanks again, Jon
  23. DVR! I record all my fishing shows during the week and then schedule a time around my studies to watch them. Works get for my purpose plus you can fast-forward through all those "I am Strike King" commercials etc. Now in HD, I may have to free up more space on the hard drive. Jon
  24. Thanks for the quick reply Wayne. I guess my main question is will the 40amp one I already have be ok? Thanks, Jon
  25. Would a 40 amp circuit breaker work for a new endura #50? Minn Kota recommends their 60 amp, but it is pricey for my application. I ask because I already have a 40 amp. If you recommend something different, could you give me the information on what do get. Thanks in advance guys. Jon
