  1. x2 My iphone works in our office, and it is literally a bomb shelter. excellent reception. Another bonus is the customer service from apple. I've never personally dealt with any other company that has done as much for it's consumers.
  2. I use gamakatsu g-stingers anytime I would use a trailer hook. I've also noticed now that as fish thrash about on a spinnerbait/buzzbait they usually end up getting hung-up on the g-stinger also. Insurance.
  3. Absolutely, I have to warn you before you make the trip though that I'm terrible at both.
  4. Matt, Good work man! Graduating to the elliptical? In a couple of months you'll be banging out the 300 workout: http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/features/the-300-workout-can-you-handle-it Keep at it. We're all pulling for you. It's easier to maintain a straight line and turn your head if you just choose the machine that's behind what your trying to see. It's motivating also, chase it my friend........chase it.........
  5. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Leadership-and-Self-Deception/Arbinger-Institute/e/9781576751749 the context is corny but, the concepts in the book really do impact most areas of your life. A really good book and easy to read.
  6. And what's more pathetic is there will be some dirt bag attorney who will somehow find a jury to award in the crooks behalf. I'm consistently dumbfounded by that possibility. They are not many things more dangerous than stupid people in large groups.
  7. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/23/us/23oakland.html?ref=us The family of the dead suspect said that he was, "frustrated because he could'nt be findin' no job."
  8. I had a similar tracker with a 50hp on it. I now have an 18' nitro with a 90hp on it. Really, you gain and lose with either choice. Decide based on price and practicality. Where are you going to use it most? what do you REALLY gain by paying more? Those are the questions that I wished I would've asked myself at first. Lately, I've kind of felt like I'd be better suited with a converted jon with a 25hp on it. That's just for me though.
  9. I use a revo sc. my flippin / pitchin stick pulls triple duty as a deep spoon rod and a carolina rig rod also. I like the faster gear ratio.

I saw it this weekend and thought it was awesome. It's not a movie about superheros. It's a movie about people that happens to have "superheros" (sort of) in it. It requires/provokes a lot of thought. The purpose is to address the thought "who is a superhero?" If you're only wanting to sit and be entertained al la spiderman or Paul Blart mall cop, you probably won't like it.
  11. No trailer. Gammy g-stinger trailer hooks.
  12. As already stated, the important thing is the weight of the boat vs. the weight of the truck. Pay extra attention because it will be a bear to stop. Allow room for everybody else on the roads. A couple other things: turn the overdrive off, and watch the temp gauge. Know what you run at without towing and with. Give it a rest if it starts to heat up. I pulled an 18' glass boat with a GMC canyon so I've done a bit of what you're looking at.
  13. I operate "the beast" in the presidential motorcade.
  14. Just talked about this the other day. A saluki is a dog. The first band that comes to mind is the butthole surfers.
  15. I fished Truman years ago with my dad in some father son tourney's (1994-1996). Two I think. They were always hosted by bucksaw resort/marina. Can you guys tell me more about Truman? Where do you prefer to put it and why? Any specifics about that lake? FYI: I have a 18' 1997 Nitro with a 90HP. I normally fish a 100 acre-ish private lake and haven't ventured out to other lakes since I took up the sport seriously.
  16. found it. I guess I should have looked harder. The brochure that I found says that maple leaf, as well as most other small lakes in Lafayette county, will allow outboards. Any outboard over 10 HP must be operated at no wake speeds however. I'm excited about getting out into some uncharted waters now. Any one else have any good recommendations?
  17. thanks senile, i like the look of the satellite pictures of maple leaf. ever fished it? I've fished lone jack. It was years ago though. how can i find out what restrictions (elec only, etc) these lakes have? I didn't see anything on the MDOC pages...
  18. thanks for the info thus far. how do i find out what permit i need for the non-jaco lakes?
  19. So, longview and blue springs are'nt any good most of the summer and, jacomo is limited. Where do you go other than the big haul south? I'm looking for something that can be a to-and-from in a day lake around the metro.
  20. Anbody fished Longview in the KC area? Whats the specifics on boat regulations? Any? Is it better, or worse than jacomo or blue springs?
  21. I've tried golf. I like fishing better. Thanks for posting the video. I needed it.
  22. Nice....... I knew that some good stuff would result from this one. I usually have a glock 27 in a lefty IWB for a right handed, behind the back draw (which, when typed, sounds very complicated). Speaking honestly, it just does'nt conceal really well in the summer months. I talked with some UC's who use the thunderwear-type holsters and they like them. I guess that's better than nothing given their circumstances though. So, it sounds like these are not well recommended by the average joe. Thanks for the input.
  23. Anybody use thunderwear or smartcarry? What do you think? Pros Cons? Looking for a good CC holster for a .38 airweight. Not interested in IWB, ankle, etc.
  24. He's bad but, Rick Moranis or Devastatin' Dave may be the WORST. Actually, Devastatin Dave is so bad that he crossed back over into awesome again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMUnHMbdbyA
