  1. I don't always agree with @A-Jay but his advice on this subject is correct. You are not the judge & jury on the man's past nor do you know his side of the story.
  2. @Blue Raider Bob I believe it as well. When fish are spawning or on a feeding binge strange things happen. I was fishing with a buddy up on the western end of Erie early April one year. I went to net my friends walleye during the spawn over a reef & ended up with 3 walleye in the net just missing the fourth. Only one was hooked the other three were swimming with the hooked female trying to mate.
  3. @Alex from GA Took the words right out of my mouth.
  4. I have only owned two a Lund & a Starcraft. Lunds are a quality product for sure. But when the crap hit the fan my Starcraft 2050 STX saved my bacon & my passenger's bacon also.
  5. Smallies are very competitive with other smallies. And like @Munkin mentioned fast or erratic motions will trigger them to bite. They are super curious like a cat. The more you tease them the more aggressive they become.
  6. OH, PA, NY, TENN, KY, GA, FL, MI & MISS in the US. Plus Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan & the Northwest Territories. Also Mexico.
  7. There are so many blade baits available in the tackle marketplace at competitive pricing that you would have to offer some killer paint jobs to make your product stand out.
  8. Just remember that lipping a bass while holding it in the water to breath is not a good idea in gator land. I did that once with a PB at Stickmarsh in the heat of the moment letting her breath during pictures & weighing. Not a good idea after thinking about it.
  9. @gimruis I hear ya. But taking a fishing license away from a cheater is not an inconvenience because he will fish anyhow. Same thing with taking a hunters license rights away he will just poach game like he has in the past. At the very least they need to increase the dollar penalties high enough to make it hurt.
  10. The punishment does not fit the crime. It's basically a slap on the wrist. They need to get serious with cheaters penalties.
  11. No worries I have purchased around 15 reels from Digitaka & Japan lure shop with all transactions smooth & quickly shipped.
  12. Sounds like your on the road to recovery. Best of luck Dean.
  13. @TOXIC That cats already out of the bag a few years ago.
  14. Check out Headwaters next to Stickmarsh. It's the hottest lake going right now in south central FL.
  15. @stk44 congratulations.
  16. Alabama rigs are not finesse presentations. The whole point of an Alabama rig is not to be realistic as you define it.
  17. Capt. Shane Procell is down there right now with his 2nd consecutive group. He is dealing with record low water levels like you just experienced. Shane also guides in south Florida for bass & peas in the everglades. He has an excellent reputation. He posts results frequently on Facebook & Instagram.
  18. Since the weekend upgrade BR has been extremely slow loading for me. Anybody else having problems. It is slow on my chromebook & I- phone.
  19. The lagoons are accessible by reaching the end of misery bay and going under the road bridge to the right. The lagoons branch out like fingers after going to the left just past the boat rental & small ramp. I would target large mouth in the bay. You might find some smallmouth around the channel entrance to the bay around the coast guard station. The main lake turned over last weekend. Good luck.
  20. @Kirtley Howe After reading about your accident & the extensive injuries you endured it's truly amazing that you persevered like you did. My hats off to you sir. Your story is inspiring.
  21. @Darth-Baiter So where are the pictures & recap of your trip? Did I miss your post?
  22. Sounds like tongue in cheek to me. Hint TVA, state fish & game dept & Tenn state license for fishing privilege. The expensive boat doesn’t have to be that expensive considering more than half the world lives in poverty compared to our standards.
  23. I always prefer to vacuum seal them before freezing to prevent freezer burn. When I’m away from home I’ll use freezer bags and seal them under water to prevent any air from getting into the bag. Both methods work well for up to a year in the freezer.
