  1. Did the dealer give you a key fob with the keys? There is often a tag attached with the key code for replacement.
  2. If you really want to try the feel of a Loomis you need to step up to the IMX Pro or higher. The E6x is a poor example of the Loomis line, very mediocre.
  3. Check out Hawgtech handles. Very affordable with great customer service.
  4. My take was GA physically dominated Tenn and that took the wind out of their sails before they could get it going.
  5. Well that would help explain a lot of things?
  6. You missed us didn't you?
  7. If you listen to the chief of DNR later in the interview he said it is possible that the fish caught is a male. Contrary to all we know about the biggest of the species being female. Notice that this smallie was not gutted out indicating egg development or recent feeding. Also the province of Ontario required killing the fish to aid in the record process. This also allows a reproduction mold to be made and proper aging of the fish by examining the ear stones. I believe in catch & release but one dead record smallie will not hurt the fishery.
  8. Well here is the angler interview & video of the catch as well as the Ohio DNR chief official. I think it was prepared & presented by Fish USA.
  9. I like the 110 +1 best for the added depth. And no the full size 110 is not to big. Actually it is about the smallest jerk bait I throw.
  10. Here is some additional info from the In-Fisherman https://www.in-fisherman.com/editorial/10-Plus-Pound-Lake-Erie-Smallmouth-Smashes-68-Year-Record/466177?fbclid=IwAR1wliGDqYcOpohksy9iWXo9ZGx5l_RpREfD7FIJEg0D39EZd59AKmwPl54
  11. You have history on your side no doubt about it Kent. But & it's a really big but, the great lakes have finally kicked out a verified 10 lb smallmouth and it has opened the doors for future records. The vast expanse of waters contained by the great lakes system dwarfs the Tennessee river system. The great lakes future looks very bright for the sight predator's like the smallmouth.
  12. More info from Adrian College Varsity Bass Team Grant (son)was on the Adrian College Varsity Bass Team and Grant and Gregg are both stand up guys. They fish Erie religiously. The catch is on video and there will be a lot of podcasts and videos in the coming weeks of the catch. The fish was 23.75 inches long and it’s currently being held by the ODNR for some testing amongst a whole bunch of other stuff. As of now the fish is still alive.
  13. 7lb-73/4oz & a 7lb-6oz are my two biggest. Caught in Ontario province of Lake Erie waters off Peele Island in the western basin.
  14. I formally nominate @ol'crickety female angler/story teller of the year. She deserves it.
  15. We always new there were 10 lbers swimming in Erie. This proves it.
  16. It was caught by an Ohio angler fishing in Canadian waters reportedly off Peele Island in the western basin.
  17. When I'm fishing in cold conditions I like wearing gortex insulated bibs. Keeping your core warm really helps you enjoy the whole fishing experience. I just layer on the top depending on conditions.
  18. All you have to do is go old school with a clear bubble float above the fly. The bubble float provides the weight to cast. Probably easier with spinning tackle.
  19. Maybe the easiest way to adjust jerk baits is to change hooks to a lighter or heavier hook. Use a 2x hook to replace a 1x hook or increase the hook size by one. The inverse works for reducing weight.
  20. Only Roger could give such a detailed & well thought out presentation as this. Thanks Roger we miss you!
  21. I took the liberty of fixing it for you.
  22. Correct also discard the belly meat as it has more fat/contaminants. Safest meat to eat is the shoulder or back meat above the lateral line.
  23. I don't think they will be too hard on them after waiting 15 years to beat the Tide.
  24. You guys looked good but the last game of the season will determine who is top dog.
  25. Your correct my mistake. The above model is described as a brother to the curado dc.
