  1. This thing worked great...I have never used swivels, so I can't compare, but did like the way it worked. Some baits had a bit of a large o-ring, which made the getting on a bit tougher, but had no trouble casting, or anything. Once in a great while, the hook would catch the swirl, but very minimal. Take Care- Jamie www.quickswirl.com
  2. Here's another Bass on the Swirl...
  3. Here's a Walleye, I caught with a crank and the Quickswirl... Nice One!
  4. Here's a bass on a brush hog, I have to resize others for the Quickswirl...be back with them. **** My goal for the trip was a 5lber. This one kept going back and forth on the scale from 4lb. 15 oz, and 5 lb 3oz. I will call it a 5lber!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!
  5. I had to re-tie a few times, due to rats nests, but other than that, no.
  6. I have some pics to post, but need to convert. The Quickswirl worked great, a few issues, but I will buy more, and used one all three and a half days. As far as terminal taclke goes, tying the crank to the line...is old news, I changed from a crank to topwater, in just a few seconds. I could uses a snap swivel, but the one's I bought (Quickswirl) had a nice swivel system that allowed it to move in all directions. Caught Largies, Walleye, and Smallies on it. AWESOME!!!!
  7. I have 10- 5 Good Baitcasters, and 5 Pleuger Presidents on basically the same rod, but different weight lines, etc.... More than that for me would be hard to justify in the budget. Peace- Jamie
  8. The fish in my profile pic was a buzzbait bass from Lake Champlain on the buzzbait I described. we got fogged in at Ticonderoga, and hit this one about 50 yards from the launch. Kerrrrrrrplunk!!!!!! Peace-
  9. Let em' drop with the bait, then drop them! I use the Strike King (from Walmart) Chartruse with Red bleeder hook...caught more with that , than any other more pricy buzzer. Just wait a bit next time, and once you get the pause, lights out!!!! Good Luck- Jamie
  10. I always use smaller baits, baby brush hogs, and smaller yamamoto crayfish, with hooks just about as big...and have great success. For me, a smaller bait, with close size hook gives me the confidence that if the fish bites, I will hook them. I rarely miss (noticed ) bites. Left that open ended for the pounding to occur. That's just me. My best baits...baby brush hogs, 4" yamamoto crawfish, and smaller zoom lizards, all with a crwfish spray added. Fished on a 1/16th or 1/8th oz, slider hook, or a smaller ewg hook and a same oz. bullet weights, colored to the bait, and unpegged...depending. Good Luck- Jamie
  11. Thanks for the replies....I feel like part of the family now. I got a thread to 3 pages. Yo....Adrian.....we did it!!!! ( Rocky Reference...if you didn't know!) Great Fishing- Jamie
  12. Thanks- if you are around this weekend we could link up. Jamie PM if you'll be around. Peace
  13. Just a choice type thread...come on burley...what's your answer. Thanks to all who responded. I kinda agree about all the killing. I got two deer this past year, and enjoyed the meat, but for some reason the luster of the whole event wasn't there. Don't get me wrong, I was very thankful for both harvested deer, but it wasn't like it has always been in years past. Thanks for all your service Brian_Reeves, our Country wouldn't be the great place it is to live without guys like you...Thanks!!!! Enjoy your day guys...4 days till I leave for my SWEET trip to Lake Champlain!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just a wee bit excited......
  14. We'll see. Again, I am a marketers dream ( I can admit it...any of you guys?). If I catch a 5 lb. largemouth, you know what the review will be...right? Thanks- Jamie
  15. Here's a cool pic i took of IKE 2 years ago, as we sat at the Ti dock ready to get out to pre-fish. "NEVER GIVE UP!"
  16. If you hunt, and Bass fish, and had to give up one forever, which would it be? For me, I have given up hunting due to land availability, as well as time commitments during the fall. I have told many, and I'll tell you, I'd pick Bass fishing any day over hunting. I hunted mostly with a bow and harvested many with it, but giving it up was not as damaging as I thought. I guess ask me in October? Maybe I will still be fishing...? Thanks for the looks...and possible replies. Jamie
  17. Hey guys awesome pics... Thanks for sharing. The bass doesn't know if it's a 21' Triton, or a Jon Boat with a small trolling motor. AWESOME!!! I can honestly say that bass fishing is the best!!!! Peace
  18. Here's one more nice pic, nice fish, but a good quality pic I think. Caught down past ti on the right in front of a small railroad trussel. It's a nice spot down past Ti- on the right. Caught quite a few off the entrance rocks of this small trussel...you can see it in the back. If it seems I get excited about Champlain...I do. There's no fishing in PA here that equals the number and size of the bass we catch up there. Peace
  19. Yeah I fish South of Ti- have one nice spot that tends to give up 3-5lbers. daily. No secret- if you want the spot give me a private shout. Otherwise, we will fish round Ti- we got fogged in there last year one morning- just fished at the Vermont side along th outside weed edges, and hammered them for a few hours. My buddy caught this smallie. Here's the pic. Thanks for the post----Leaving Sat round 11:30-12 midnight. Peace- and good fishing. Jamie
  20. You as well!
  21. Nothing, thanks for the response... Good fishing!
  22. Hey, I got my own thread.... So hjerk24, whats new?
  23. What a waste of a thread...sad really. Where are all you guys/gals up North? Whatever!
  24. I am a sucker I'll admit for gadget type stuff, just thought it looked neat for changing crankbaits, etc...who knows.. We shall see. PCE
