I completely missed the boat on the whole myspace and facebook thing. I have yet to be convinced why it is necessary or better than using phone or email by people who have a page. I guess I am getting old.

I love it! Keep us posted on how low it goes. If someone told me this summer that gas would be under $2 dollars again I would have laughed in their face. It's hard to believe that we have seen such a dramatic decline in gas prices in several months. This is AWESOME!!

I have had great luck with my MH rod with frogs and 12# XL, but I do not fish around lilypads or real thick mat. You should be fine.

I do not think there are any large lakes in the area, but you may want to look at google maps for some ponds and rivers. You may want to check out Blackwater river. I don't know how set you are on bass fishing, but cobia fishing is REALLY hot during this time. They can be caught along the beaches and from piers.

I have been using spooks for a while with great luck. However, I just got a few sammy 100's and I really like the colors and action. I think they are a strong contender.

I do not eat them very often, but I do enjoy an occasional fish fry when I visit my uncle. I think they taste great when battered with zatarains and deep fried.

I am looking for some input on Dobyns champion crankbait rods. Looking to throw spooks, sammy, and cranks. Anyone have experience with these rods? What do you think?

I have caught a baby alligator, several alligator snapping turtles over 75#, 50# paddlefish, and I almost caught an owl on Sunday ;D
