Sponsorsssssss
Again guys, refer to my previous post about being young and having time to gain experience, knowledge of the business, and molding yourself into a well rounded individual through school and life experiences. Your interests change all the time while growing up, so dont get knee deep in the proverbial quick-sand. Being a successful competitor in any sport isnt just about the love of the game, its about what I have described above. I am only about to be twenty years old, and I plan to start my tournaments when I am around thirty when I am somewhat financially stable, slow and steady wins the race...most of the time. Good Luck, Hawg Fan

Reviving Bass after catch?
Wow! Glenn posted in one of my threads! Just like having a celebrity give me an autograph! 8-) No, wouldnt go backwards, just seemed like common sense that their gills aren't made for that. I will definately have to give the figure eight motion a try though. Sorry I havent posted in my own thread, my internet has been actin up lately. I appreciate everyones comments and input on the topic. Have a good weekend, HawgFan

Crankbaits?
You can try that technique if you want, most of the time i just reel them in, and other times i will reel in and then kill them right near some cover or a point. here aresome articles that might help you out. http://www.bassresource.com/fish/crankbaits.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/Rat-L-Traps.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/rattle_trap.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/lipless_crankbaits.html Bass Resource offers tons of articles on pretty much every bass question you've ever had! There is a lot of work put into it for us so make sure you take advantage of what is available. Also, check out the sponsors page, they help make this site possible, and they are all great companies/people with great products and services. Good Luck and Glad to have you! Hawg Fan

Reviving Bass after catch?
Do you or anyone know how long a bass can be kept out of water without any harm? Generally I catch them and just put them right back into the water but I want to start keeping a log book.. Thanks

Reviving Bass after catch?
Are there any good techniques to help the bass we catch get revived better than just tossing them back into the water. I was wondering because I hate it when it takes too long to get a picture, weigh and measure. I would feel really bad if one died because I kept'm out too long. :-[ Thanks, Hawg Fan

What would you throw?
If the surface activity is very violent and in the shallows it might be bass chasing bluegill out of the shallow beds.
-
What to get
I would buy more soft plastics than anything but someone will come along and give you a list that will make your wallet scream:)

What would you throw?
Carolina Rig Brush Hawg off the points in a little deeper water, you wanna catch the ones who have already spawned or who havent had the chance yet mainly off points and secondary points

Sponsorsssssss
Hey Man, Im glad to see you are thinking about tournament bass fishing, and I myself am not a tournament fisherman, but through experience of Tournament Paintball I know a thing or two about sponsorships and forming relationships with companies. You must understand Tournament Fishing is a lot more than just loving to fish. It is a business, a big business, and when a company commits itself to you, you need to be commited 110 percent. I'm not sure how old you are but just judging by your posts i'd say not too old. Slow down, you have a long time to go pro. Practice, Study, Fish Tournaments, form relationships through tournaments and get to know what the business is all about. If you are still sure in a few years that it is something you want to be fully commited to then I would say you have a good resume to put together to show companies that you are in it for the long haul, and are the kind of person that can give back to them for payment of their support. I wish you best of luck in whatever you do, and remember to do well in school too! Take Care, Hawg

Tackle Marketing
I was just curious what some of you think some of the biggest marketing techniques these bait companies to use to entice our bait monkey. For me it has got to be the cool looking packages! I think growing up of course seeing bill dance and roland on their Tv shows with their boats and tons of tackle in boxes all organized and labeled has definately influenced me over the years to think that is what I must have!
