I fish a good sized pond/lake that has about 3 30-50 lb beavers that occupy it and I have caught many bass out of that lake. As for the legality of fishing I could not tell you but here in Va it is completley legal to fish wether public or private land.

I didn't know about the dicount, but I have already thought of the ramp delay so we are going to work around every other club fishing.

Just for the record I wasn't the one who started this club back up I was just asked to be a part of it. I hope this club get some of BR members.

Everyone else hit this problem nail in the head. It takes a few practice attempts to get good at this but once you have mastered it it will be second nature. Good Luck, whatever you do don't give up on trying!!!

I agree that box is a real space saver!

With my job I try not to ever cause a scene. The last thing I want to do is have someone saying things that I did. So I usually keep to myself, I've only had to act on things 2 times but it was something that had to be dealt with. 8-)

We usually try to stay out of all the attitudes, unless something needs us to get involved, usually it does not get that bad.

Sam I'm not to sure what all we are going to do yet, like I said we are starting to rebuild this club back to what it used to be. I would love to see this club back at those numbers!!! We have a meeting this up coming week to decide on tournament dates and all that good stuff and hopefully we can set-up a website. I will keep you posted on this. Like I said we are meeting to set up dates and places but I mainly like to fish the Potomac. If anyone has any good ideas of other places to go let me know. I really don't fish much of Lake Anna but some of the other guys like that area.

My normal honey hole is a large river and I seldom run into any problems. Last year was the first time I had any type of a problem. I was fishing a small area of underwater structure that I had found in weeks past and I had not caught anything off this area in 20 mins but I had too much confidence in that spot to just leave it, so I continued to hit the spot for a good while longer. I had a boat come up to me and watch me fish for a while and I finally started to catch fish. I caught maybe 5 or six before he motored about 50 ft from me and asked how well I was doing. I told him I had caught a few and he went on about his buisness, well about 20 mins goes by and here he comes again but this time he wasn't trying to talk he was just fishing he was practically fishing right up on me when I finally got mad and I tossed my pole in the boat and fired it up and took off. Later that day I was hammering some good 3-4 lbers in a grassy area and here comes the same boat. I figured there is no way this guy can be coming to run me off again. But he was, he came right back up and started fishing right on top of me, literally we were moving our boats just to make sure they didn't hit. So finally I asked him why he continued to do this and he said that when he sees someone catching fish he assumes that the fish are only in that spot and everyone should have a chance. Well I completley disagree with this. Finally about 10 mins go by and he got tired of my catching fish and he was still empty handed. ;D ;D

I'd have to agree with you. It lookds more like a Largemouth but I haven't seen those markings either.

Hey guys, We are bringing back a club founded originally in 1983, called Metro Area Police Bass Club. The purpose of the club will be to promote the sport of bass fishing in the law enforcement community. The club is open to all who are interested, both boat owners and non-boat owners, young and old. If you are not a law enforcement officer or retired leo, you must be sponsored in by two members. The club by-laws state membership is restricted to 50 people with at least 50 percent being law enforcement. Our plan at this point is to have a series of tournaments this year and an end of year banquet crowning angler of the year. The main purpose of these tournaments will be to have fun. There is some cash involved, but very minimal to keep it open for all. I am working on the schedule for tournaments, but expect the first one to be at Lake Anna in March. Future goals include fund raising tournaments for local community projects, mentoring kids in the community, and a hooked on fishing not drugs program. The first meeting was tonight and I apologize for not getting this out sooner. I wasn't sure how it was going to work out, but is very organized even at this point. Our next meeting is Thursday February 19th at 1630 hours. The location is Family Pizzeria on Route 1 in Stafford. If anyone is interested please PM me. I posted this in the Southeast section because it really only applys for those who live in NoVa. 8-)

I recently emailed a couple of local and not local tackle companies inquiring on some decals to put on my boat to show some support. I received many decals and patches from these companies but just recently I received an email stating that someone from the prostaff will be in contact with me. I have never been sponsored before and I was wondering what the next step is going to be. I know there is a lot of stuff on here about this but nothing really explains to me what I need to do. It would be nice to have a sponsor but I am more into fishing then trying to find sponsors. However if they are putting it out there then I will be more then happy to except the offer. I know everyone is more then willing to give some input so throw it at me. -Nitroman 8-)

Nice Fish!!!!

I am mostly on here in the wintertime since I obviously can't be out fishing. But it is also a good time to look back on the year and remeber everything you have learned from this informative site.
