Most of the material you read in English class gives you a better idea of what things were really like back then. The biographies are very enlightening. Their firsthand accounts are 100 times better than any textbook.

While we're on this topic, I suggest a book called "Night" by Elie Wiesel.

I just don't get some people. What could possibly drive you to support Nazi ideals? The whole neo-nazi subculture is mind blowing.

I plan on going to dental school (go ahead, laugh) in Oklahoma City. I guess that's close enough.

I've narrowed it down to three schools: Arkansas State University, Missouri State University, and Hendrix College. ASU recently upgraded the requirements for their scholarships. They would have paid me to attend under the old requirements. Now, I've got to make 29 on the ACT go get a free ride. I currently have a 27. I really like MSU and it's location, but I want to stay around my family a little longer. The possibility of me going to MSU is not very high. Hendrix is a private school ($$$$$). It's the best in the state, and will look great on my transcript when I apply for grad school. If I can boost my ACT in the 30's, I will go to Hendrix. I took the ACT Saturday, the results should be back around Christmas. I am eager to say the least.

That's GREAT Muddy! So, does a seasoned graduate like yourself have any advice for us newcomers that will be heading to college next year?

My sister bought me a Longhorns shirt one year. She said "you like this team right?" ummmm.... no. Bad gifts really don't make me mad though, I believe in the "it's the thought that counts" philosophy. (But a few Revos every now and then don't hurt)

I'm in the dark on unions as well. I've got to write an essay for a scholarship. The topic is Organized Labor's Contribution to the Welfare of the People of North America. This is certainly not my specialty.

It's been a week without college football, what do you expect? ;D Thanks for keeping us in line.
