There's still plenty of fish shallow right now. I'd start in about 8ft of water near main and secondary points in the mornings. ( I like using a bandit 200) The fish are starting to move to deeper structure as the temps start rising. A GREAT summer tactic is bouncing big cranks off of structure in 15-20 foot water. A DD22 will suffice.

x2 A 4/0 will probably do you fine for a day or so, but I'd get some 6/0 if I planned on fishing big worms a lot. I'm from the south where the plastic worm reigns supreme. Get ready to hammer em.

I can understand people doing this. Some of these guys have fished their whole lives and finally found "the spot" that produces. The waters containing big fish are drawing more and more anglers every year. I wouldn't want to work hard to find a spot and then post where it is so some guy who fishes twice a year catches big mama.

They said I was too cool to drive the brown truck. Figures. Just wait until you guys are working 3am-9am, then have school from 11am until 4pm. High school isn't a bad thing, enjoy it while you can. It feels great to finish, but thats when the real world slaps you in the face. I work 36 hours a week. I have the entire afternoons to fish and the nights to party away ( ;D) Don't hate the good life.

If I had to catch at least one fish, (we're talking life or death situation here) I'd probably tie on an in-line spinner. May not catch the biggest or the prettiest, but it catches.
