  1. thats what i was thinkin of using big flashy spinnerbaits and big dark jigs and plastics. ANYONE ELSE WANNA CHIME IN ILL TAKE ALL THE ADVICE I CAN GET
  2. SO I FISH A LOCAL PARK POND ABOUT 48 ACRES, ITS ALREADY PRETTY STAINED WATER AND SINCE ALL THE RAIN I KNOW ITLL BE ALOT MORE STAINED AND THAT THE WATER LEVER WILL BE UP SO WHAT SHOULD MY PLAN BE IN PREPERATION FOR THE CHANGES IN NOT ONLY THE BASS BUT ALSO THE CHANGE IN WATER AND SUCH. JUST FOR WORDS I WAS CATCHING ALL MY BASS PRIOR TO THE RAIN ON TOPWATERS AND ZOOM FLUKES, AND WEIGHTLESS WORMS. cover is tons of tules and mostly mud bottoms with a few fallen tress.
  3. lower the better if you can catch it right before it starts to climb thats the best
  4. come on someone has to live somewhere else besides alaska
  5. SHAKY HEAD OR SPINNERBAIT
  6. SO WHATS EVERYONES TACTICS TO SUB-DO HOT TIME BASS. I LIVE IN WEST TEXAS AND ITS STEADY 95-105 THIS TIME OF YEAR AND JUST TRYING TO LEARN SOME STUFF. AM I MORE APT TO JUST HEAD OUT EARLY MORNING AND LATE EVENING OR CAN I HAVE SUCCESS MID-DAY. I DO KNOW A FULLY OVERCAST DAY WITH JUST A BUZZ-BAIT CAN MEAN BOAT LOADS OF BASS BUT IM SKEPTICAL ILL SEE ONE SOON.
  7. I ONCE SAW A GUY DOIN IT AND HE HAD SOME DEVICE THAT WAS LIKE A BELT RIG THAT HAD SOME PVC THINGY HE HAD MADE FOR IT
  8. yes there is most definatly bass in it, ive only fished it for about 4 months strong and since have caught 2 really nice bass and ive caught tons of small 1-3 pounders, 1 went about 6 and looked to be spawned out so i think it would have went 7-8, and the other was still fat and super aggressive so i believe it was gorging itself in preperation to lay eggs heres the pics.
  9. was just curious, i fish a local park pond about 40 acres with some rock bottom banks, but mostly mud bottom with tulles all around. my question is the water is pretty murky visibilty only about 1ft. does the sun affect the water/bass the same way it does in clearer water, does the water stay cooler, and will the fish be more opt to not hug cover due to the fact that the sun isnt penatrating the water as much
  10. im guessing she went about 7 or 8 maybe the picture is kinda weak i think her girth was pretty big
  11. O YA, also caught this huge bullfrog at the end of the day on a spro top water fog i thought that was kinda weird.
  12. O YA, she also regurgitated this, looks to be a white bass and there was another one about to come out to. so im knda curious as to what phase this bass was in she was fat with eggs ozing out and yet had two palm sized white bass in her mouth ANY IDEAS????????
  13. well went float tubing today and was throwing a 3/8 oz. booyah spinnerbait in shad pattern. was throwing from all diretions to the tules when all the sudden my rod is almost ripped from my hands. she gave a really really good strong fight and then walla i got her. so then i went to take a pic and realized i didnt put my sd card nack in the camera so i called my wife and begged her to bring it to me (30 min drive) so i definatly owe this pic to my wife!!
  14. zoom trick worm
  15. and also if you've got the ability first throw a spinner bait thru the area to prone for active bass but this is exactly what i do i throw an active bas type bait then follow with a senko and the a shaky head rig i catch bass all day
  16. actually what it does do is give the local ranger and biologist time to access the situation at your local bodies of water im sure theyll be trying to come up with a scientific solution to the mussell issue its either that or the bass in the lake will eventually suffer i would take the time off to study or even just relax the bass will be there on the 23rd and maybe also be more aggressive due to the calming of stuff thrown theyre way but you are exactly right the animals are alot more like to contribute to the issue but that is only true if they travel from one body of water to the next as in migratory patterns just my .02
  17. exactly harshman that is where i got it from. and i have since tried it on 3 outings and it has proven very succesful
  18. also the new rapala x-raps jerk baits are phenominal IDK about you but spending 15-20 bucks for a jekbait ( i.e. lucky craft, diawa ) is crazy but i do know i will be getting a few of the new sebile jerk baits when they come out only because of the new state of the art designe that is put into them and because i can get them thru a buddy of mine who is well lets just say hes got and good hook-up
  19. the key to succesfull jerk bait fishing is to present a crazy dashing and darting action. now of course there are times when you fish it more finesse like but thats more so true during cold water months. when temps are up and bass are active make that baby go crazy you dont have to be fast just give it sharp uncontrolled jerks
  20. oops forgot to mention that you fish this on the bottom with a slightly slack line i use my fnger just to flick the line every few seconds to keep it dancin. hope this benefits someone out there
  21. there are keys to shaky head fishing and ill try to point them out. 1-the plastic you are using should not out weight the shakky head hok your using what i mean by this is that the purpose of the shaky head is to keep the plastic elevated and if the plastic is either not a molded one or floater it will kill the whole setup 2- dont limit yourself to just using worms you can use any plastic ive found that when bass are on the bottom ( i.e. middle of the day in summer) i use a zoom super fluke and they see it as a minnow feeding the bottom. for spawners and this by far is in my opion the dealiest weapon for bass on beds i use a lake fork white 6'' lizard it absulutly drives them nuts they immediatly engulf it try it and youll see 3- here another little tip i just learned try this: get some small 1/8 or 1/4 ounce crappie jigs heads i like white with red and black eyes. cut off the hook right where the bend begins and cut of the eyelit. next take a 2-4 ought worm hook and feed it in the last 3/4 of the plastic of your choice backwards now cut cut the head or the plastic about 1/4 inch and place it on the modifieg crappie jig tie on thru the hook eyelit and shabam you now have a bunjee rig try it and you see its a awsome rig heres a pic
  22. with you desription of three bas together i assume theyre swimming in a pack like scenario. this tells me theyre on thyre late postspwan pattern most likely hurding in on baitfish i would get out early and throw a buzz bait or zoom super fluke maybe even a suspending jerkbait
  23. shaky head with 6 inch worm or spinnerbait
  24. hey trying to find a solutuion to my bullet weights sliding up the line i use only lake fork tungsten weights and they have the little plastic inserts so i cant use a tooth pick anyone have another idea was thinking i could use a little shoe goo or something
