Moby bass, That was my thinking as well until I tried to fish 20lb fluoro on my Chronarch 50MG. It has a relatively small spool and I simply couldn't cast thick stiff line with it very well at all. Using a 20lb fluoro leader attached to 30lb Spiderwire, it casts like a dream. On the other hand, lighter test fluoro would probably work fine and would be easier than trying to tie a leader--still I'm so used to "0" line memory with braid, it's hard to give up.
