  1. Tiger Woods, Gregg Norman, Jack Nicklaus aren't athletes, just to name a few? Nicklaus played college basketball before he turned to golf, Norman a surfer, and Tiger Woods would probably excel at most sports. I doubt that most pro fisherman could even walk 18 holes 4 days in a row on hilly courses. Before and after their rounds they are hitting tons of balls and most work out an hour or 2 a day. You bet they are athletes. I went back and highlighted in red what I posted. Just because they have an atheletic body does not make the activity they're doing atheletic or them an athelete. My wife has several friends who work out yet don't work outside the home. Are they stay at home atheletes? Cooking and doing laundry the next Pro Series we'll see on ESPN? ;D The problem is that some people think golf, bowling, fishing, etc are sports; they're not. If you can be OBESE and still be the best at something, it's not a sport and the participants (regardless of whether they are in shape or not) are NOT atheletes. Craig Stadler, Phil Mickelson, etc have won majors while being way out of shape.
  2. As well as other things.............................
  3. Trying to figure out how many days I took off my life eating that New York Strip steak off the grill yesterday. Marinated in Dales Seasoning for about 30 mins then several minutes on the grill. Come get me Grim Reaper.
  4. No doubt. Can't even fathom why someone would attempt it. :-?
  5. Sam, you keep using "lasers" and we may have to call you Dr. Evil.
  6. IMO if you can be grossly overweight/out of shape and STILL be good at something, you're not an athlete. Bowlers, golfers, fishermen, etc...may have athletic looking bodies but they're not athletes. Also, brains wins out over natural ability in fishing IMO. Brains will have you studying more, practicing more and learning from success/failures.
  7. I walk into a dealership with my financing already set. 4.5 percent from Credit Union for a used vehicle is pretty good. You let the dealerships run your credit and sometimes they'll run it a dozen times. I've walked out of places that wanted my social despite me telling them numerous times 'I have my financing already'. One other tip; if you're car shopping with someone tell them not to say one positive thing about the vehicle; only negative things. 'Color isn't very appealing, looks blocky, etc..' The wife knows this already and once we test drive it, she heads to the waiting room while I negotiate the price. The looks on the salesman's face always cracks me up when they see they will be dealing with me alone. The Best time to buy a vehicle is when you don't need one. Then you can just get up and walk right out.
  8. Go on a rainy night at the end of the month with your financing already in hand (Credit Union, etc...). I've been buying used for awhile and I find a vehicle I'm interested in online at autotrader.com or autoextra.com and start gathering info. I find out the trade in value from Edmunds and work from there. I'll offer them trade in value for the vehicle knowing full well that the dealership most likely didn't pay full trade in. Usually I pay a couple hundred over trade in value on the vehicles I buy. These days though, the difference between new and used may make buying new a little more appealing.
  9. I wouldn't be right up on his dock but if someone said that to me I'd reply 'you own the dock, not the water. Go check with the county'.
  10. While you wait for the videos here, try searching youtube for stuff. Pretty much anything on youtube.
  11. Well, I would have thought the cop would go get a weapon himself instead of wrestling for the one the guy had. IMO he was lucky. Also, while I agree the creep got what's coming to him, that family may never feel the same about that house. Sad. I never said the bad guy had the gun. The cop/homeowner had the gun. Thanks for clearing that up. There was a guy recently who broke into a martial arts studio......while a class was going on. ;D
  12. Included a Epic Fail one too.

  14. I had a long winded post made but upon reading it, I sounded like an old fuddy duddy. Something along the lines of 'heaven forbide parents actually watch their kids instead of treating the mall like a daycare.' lol at the stats though.
  15. That just ain't right ;D ;D X2 ;D
  16. The Dumbing down of America continues.............. They're okay with a PG rated movie having nudity in it or near nudity on tv during the days but heaven help us our lawmakers worry about the volume. :-?
  17. Yeah yeah, I know there's no such thing as a free lunch but an 11 year old roof getting replaced with a better one (dimensional shingle upgrade) for what I'm paying in premiums is still a great deal. Besides, I'd still have to pay those premiums.
  18. I have few things in my tackle box that don't hit the water but the problem is that I don't fish it LONG enough for it to work. I resolve to be more patient with lures this year.
  19. 'Too much tackle' Hush yo' mouth boy! It's like a condom; better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
  20. Couple other things about my experience with Ebay. When selling an item, I will state that bidders that have zero or negative (multiple) feedbacks will be removed and blocked from purchasing. Too many scammers out there. I also state that I won't ship item until payment has been received and money order/certified check clears.
  21. I'm trying out my first swimbait and I went with Mattlures Ultimate Blugill (Male). Sure it's a little pricey but man that looks so realistic in the water.
  22. Cavitron Buzzbait Zara Spook
  23. Bought LG versions with the underneath storage ($200.00 a piece) and with my birthday coming up I thought it might be a good idea to let her know her happiness was most important to me. http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100608614&N=10000003+90401 http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100608618&N=10000003+90401
  24. when buying appliances. Just dropped $3,000.00 on a LG washer/dryer combo. Yeah I know it's a lot but I don't do laundry and I don't want her telling me what I need as far as tools/lures go. Just doing my part to spark the economy I guess. Actually after the hailstorm in mid February, we got a new roof, gutters, downspouts and gutter screens for $0.00 Gotta love that.
