Dark Water
Oh, I didn't really know that. I only fish one main lake and it was a shale quarry apparently so the water is kinda clear with a slight tinge of greenish brown.

Dark Water
Cool. I just looked it up on google images and that's the same color the water is: Thanks! What colors do you guys recommend using in that color water?

Dark Water
There is a smaller lake next to a lake that I usually fish that I have become curious about and will try fishing in the next couple of weeks. I went and checked the lake out the other day for the first time and the water is very darkly stained. The only other time I've seen this color is from the tannin stain that Cyprus trees seem to produce. Does anyone have any ideas why it would be stained like this? The entire edge that I can see consists of Brazilian pepper trees and the bottom looks mostly sandy and mucky. The lake is located on Merritt Island, in Florida.

Pflueger Reel Help
Thank you so much Pirate, that was exactly what I needed to do. Unfortunately I couldn't fix the problem. I'll have to send it to someone when I get some money.

Pflueger Reel Help
I got a Pflueger Trion low profile baitcaster for Christmas one year, and it recently broke. Whenever I press the button to release line, the spool does not let the line release. Whenever I start reeling to click the button back into place, it rarely actually clicks back and I end up just spinning the reel around without moving the spool. I've got the exploded diagram that came with the reel and I've been able to go as far as to take apart the handle of the reel and take the screws out of the casing but I can't get the casing on the handle side off. Does anyone here have any experience working with this reel?

What is your favorite fishing situation?
Pretty impressive, Missouri's state record smallmouth is 7lbs 2 oz I read the pamphlet and it said it was like 9 lbs. That can't be right. I've weighed these fish.

What is your favorite fishing situation?
I live in Florida, thus I'm always going Largemouth fishing. However, my Mother's side of the family lives in North Missouri and I go there every spring and end up fishing a totally secluded, unfished river that my uncle has land on. Literally every spring I can throw small tubes across the river and catch 50 to 60 smallmouth a day ranging from 1lb to up to 8 lbs. I've had days where I've caught five 6lbers in a row in the exact same spot. There's sunken logs, dead trees, rocky riffles, deep dropoffs and holes, muddly hills, and grassy flats. I can be totally alone for hours fishing up and down this river, watching deer come down to drink, and eagles fly overhead. The other fun part is that I never know what's hitting my lure because I can catch Walleye, Crappie, Trout, Largemouth, Huge bluegill, and catfish. It's the most amazing fishing experience I've ever had in my life, even including the times I've caught double digit LMBs in Florida.

What is your favorite fishing situation?
When you're in a wide canal and suddenly Bass just start demolishing shad all around you for hours. You see schools of baitfish everywhere, and the bass are hitting everywhere, and you just grab you're favorite color redye shad and start catching everything. Oh God.

Fishing Stores
I was wondering if anybody had any advice on finding a job related to fishing. I live in Florida, and am getting a degree in Graphic Design. I love fishing and the idea of designing lures, rods, or anything related to fishing. The only places I can find around here are custom rod shops and they don't seem to be hiring. Anyone else have any connections or tips?
