Minn Kota Terrova?
I had a 24V, 60", AP, US2, 80lb thrust, & Co-Pilot on my last boat a 2004 Tracker Targa 17SC Deep V I loved it BUT..... I only used the rod mounted Co-Pilot remote as I only use spinning gear so it was an easy choice being able to run the Terrova from anywhere on the boat. I had the dealer install the 36V, 54", AP, US2, 101lb thrust & Co-Pilot version on my new 2011 Nitro Z-7 can't wait for ice off to try her out. The foot pedal is different from the other non PowerDrive motors it's wider I know it won't fit the pedal recess in the front deck of my Z-7. It does require a little more effort to stow & deploy. The only problem I had was the board for the Auto Pilot had to be replaced under warranty. I don't have the iPilot just the standard AP. Tight Lines Pa Angler

I don't have the i-Pilot but I do have the Auto-Pilot which I love as well I also have the Co-Pilot remote mounted on my spinning rods since spinning gear is all I use it works for me. Tight Lines Pa Angler

The mother of all polls. Daiwa, Abu, BPS, Pflueger, Penn or Shimano?
I don't use any of those listed so I'm going to add my own. Okuma VSystem spinning reels. Tight Lines Pa Angler

2011 BPS Bionic Blade B/C Rod
I have used the older non split handled Bionic Blades a great rod for the money. I too had my reservations on the split handle till I purchase 2 BPS carbonlite 6'-6" spinning rods last May 1 M and 1 MH I can place one finger in front of the size 30 reel on 6'-6" rod and it will balance. I have since sold all my Johnny Morris Signature rods on Ebay and replace them with Carbomlite rods. I have to say if your going to spend $79.99 on the Blade go the extra $ for the Cardonlite just my experience from using both new and old. Tight Lines Pa Angler

Cheap Braid on eBay
I wouldn't buy it. Stay with a known brand. There's a picture of a Porpoise on the spool maybe it's an inshore or saltwater braid looks to thick from anything I have ever used. Tight Lines Pa Angler

Need New Braided Line?
If want a real limp and smooth braid check out Cabela's Ripcord Si Plus. I have used Power Pro SUCKS, Stren Micro Fuse frays to quickly SUCKS, and the original Spiderwire didn't like as it was a flat line but it probably has changed by now. I'm going to try Berkley's Fireline Crystal this season my Co-Angler likes it. Other than the black braid I was given in the late 50's that's all I have used. Tight Lines Pa Angler

Braid without leader
I never ever use a leader on braid I was using green braid on Lake Ontario - St Lawrence River at Cape Vincent, NY and the Smallies or Largemouths didn't seem to care on a calm day you can see 30' to the bottom so much for fish caring about seeing a line they see the hooks and don't care so what matters heck fish would even hit a Helicopter lure that looks real....NOT!!! buying a new boat...what if?
I have ordered a new boat a Nitro Z-7 and I fish mostly water in less than 12'. I fish for Pike, Walleye and Bass although Walleye is a night thing for me. The things a look at are length of the boat but big enough to take on rough water. I fish a lot of backwater and small creeks off the main lake, Ample power in both outboard and trolling motors, storage capacity and upgraded eletronics. Tight Lines Pa Angler

Fishing trends...drive me crazy!!!
I know what you mean the first reel I learned on back in the late 50's was a round baitcaster with a metal rod with black braid and I had to tie a mono leader on. I have to tell that reel was a far cry from today's low profile casters with only a drag setting and two casting modes clicking and free spooling wonder if that will come around again....LOL You learned to have an educated thumb on that deal. I don't get caught up on all the new trends only ones that I think will work for me I'm basically a crankbait, spinnerbait, soft frogbait (Horny Toad), topwater and sometimes a worm dragger. I don't jig, finesse or drop shot very much that would only happen if nothing else works and that doesn't happen very often to me. Tight Lines Pa Angler

Anyone else think this is a good deal?
Just from the looks of it I wouldn't pay $2,000 there's has to to better at that price range I'd keep looking also if you can afford to pay $3,000 you will get more boat and motor. Tight Lines Pa Angler

This reel will top the chart this year...
I agree, I don't even pay $300 for rod and reel $225 tops times are tough for an average angler bucking up $300 for a reel. Tight Lines Pa Angler

bass pro/sales tax
In PA you pay sales tax with online and store purchases the only time it wasn't charged was when BPS and Cabela's first opened stores here in PA if I remember it was for 5 years of tax exemption. Tight Lines Pa Angler
