  1. Using my Berkley Digital scale, The weigh your fish with a ruler has always come within an once or two up here in PA and NY maybe it wouldn't hold up in the South where fish get bigger in the belly but up here it works. Chow The Pa Angler
  2. I use a 17' Aluminum Tracker Targa Deep V. Chow The Pa Angler
  3. Here's a site that weighs your fish with a ruler and it's pretty acurate. www.dec.state.ny.us./website/dfwmr/fish/foe4cwgf.html Chow The Pa Angler
  4. I use the fish symbol option rather than an arch does anyone else use it? Each fish symbol then has the depth printed above it. Chow The Pa Angler
  5. I have Solar Bats in three shades, Blue Chrome. Amber and Moss Green I do have some cheaper grades but as was mentioned before they don't last as long. The UV protection is not all the same a good quality lens will filter out more UV rays then a cheap lens will and UV will cause blindness after years of exposure. IS YOUR VISION IMPORTANT TO YOU? IT SHOULD BE!!! Get a good pair and protect your vision get a cheap pair and don't protect your vision the choice is simple. Chow The Pa Angler

Using a swivel is almost a must if you use spinning gear all the time to prevent the dreaded line twist using crankbaits, topwater baits, jerkbaits and spinner baits. Chow The Pa Angler
  7. I don't eat Bass but I do keep Walleyes in the 3lb to 5lb range they are really good. Chow The Pa Angler
  8. PA has two free days a year to expose people to fishing and experience the thrill of catching fish. Are there any more states out there that do the same? I think it's a good deal. Chow The Pa Angler
  9. Hi, Having the trim all the way down is your problem. The faster you go the more you need to adjust the trim up. I have a 17' Tracker Targa SC at WOT I have my trim set just inside the positive side of trim. Just in case your not familar with trim settings there's negative trim (DOWN), neutral (LEVEL) and positive (UP). My guess is that you have power trim try moving the trim up a little at a time until you get the desired results your boat will let you know when it's to far up as it's telling you it's to far down. 10. Awesome job! Your a Craftsman in your own right. Chow The Pa Angler
  11. YES IT'S 2006, I guess I failed to mention that the foot control and remote came with the TM not that I USE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME but with night fishing in the Northeast corner of Pa where they have night contests for Striper, Walleye and Catfish the foot control became a safety issue of tripping on a modest front deck. You can run the TM from anywhere on the boat something you can't do with a forward deck mounted foot control. If you do use a remote you may need at sometime a backup and that's were the foot control comes in otherwise I've found FOOT CONTROL to be nothing more than T&TS ON A BULL. OLD HABITS (FOOTCONTROL) ARE HARD TO BREAK EVEN IF IT'S INCONVENIENT. Chow The Pa Angler
  12. I have both the foot control and the wireless remote control on my Minn Kota Power Drive with Co-Pilot & Auto-Pilot. I like the remote control over the foot control with the front deck being modest in size I don't have to deal with triping over the foot control or it's power cable. Chow The Pa Angler
  13. I have a 1999 GMC Jimmy 4x4 with the 4.3 which is the brother to the Blazer. I tow a Tracker Targa 17SC Deep V all loaded I'd say it weighs about 3000lbs - 3200lbs. Ran 7 hours from home to upstate NY in the dead of summer with no problems. Without checking my owners manual I think towing capacity is around 4400lbs. I do have a Class III hitch and 373 gears though. Hope this helps. Chow The Pa Angler
  14. I have a 2004 Tracker Targa 17SC Deep V with a 90hp Merc. I'm very please with it. I looked at others but Trackers are all welded and for the price I got mine for the others couldn't touch the Tracker. You won't be disappointed with a Tracker. Chow The Pa Angler
  15. Awesome job on the restoration. Now... The motor on Ebay that Hooker suggested would be a great addition and a nice touch. Chow The Pa Angler
  16. OOOOOH MY!!!!!! What a Woman. Wonder if she came how out of a bottle. How many more wishes does he get? Chow The Pa Angler
  17. While this big female weighs 25-1 now once she drops her eggs she'll probably lose 3 - 5lbs and anglers will have to wait another year to catch her. Did you see that fish on Basscenter her belly was like the size of a basket ball "UNREAL" if I was the one who caught it I would be in an emotional nuclear meltdown what a fish. But California law (as far as Basscenter stated) a snagged fish of any kind is an illegal catch and so wouldn't count as a record. Chow The Pa Angler
  18. According to Basscenter, California law states that a snagged fish is illegal and the fish to be a record must comply with the laws in the state in which it is caught therefore the Bass record would not hold up under the official international sanctioning body. There was video of it's weight on a digital Berkley scale of course that scale was not certified by weights and measures ESPN put a 25lb weight on it and the scale came up clean. In closing the Angler did the right thing a snagged fish is an illegal catch in California and should not count as a world record. Chow The Pa Angler
  19. I use a 1999 GMC Jimmy to tow a Tracker Targa 17SC.
  20. I also use my car insurance co for my boat which is Erie Ins. I tried the free quotes online with Progressive I sent for 6 quotes and all 6 came back with different costs IMAGINE THAT. Chow The Pa Angler
  21. Thanks for the info, I appreciate the help. Just to add that I know people have copied Andre' Moore's Beaver to the tee so there must be a way for me as well. I will contact the Tackle Underground for advice. Thanks again for the help. Chow The Pa Angler
  22. I have plastic baits that are out of production I would like to make a copy of them. Where can I get custom molds made to make these baits? I really want to duplicate these baits there's nothing I've seen out there that's like the ones I have. I don't want something almost or just like the ones I have. I'm not trying to be hard nosed but it's what I want. Chow The Pa Angler
  23. Hi, I have a SE300 on my Tracker 17SC Deep V with a 90HP ELPTO Merc and yes the cavitation plate was drilled. If your skittish about that have a pro do it. I have had no problems with it and you will be happy with the results with it on, Especially when your floating in rough water. Chow The Pa Angler
  24. I remember Dudley saying that on Basscenter most disapproved but some t didn't care, Roland called him an *** if I remember right. Your right, mind games and getting inside an opponents head is in every sport there is, it's part of the game. Chow The Pa Angler
  25. Awesome looking boat. Hey Gobbledog keep in mind in order for there to be any used boats someone has to buy a new. Chow The Pa Angler
