Thinking About Moving To North Carolina
The Charlotte metro area is huge, especially compared to thirty years ago. It encompasses all of Mecklenburg county and then some. As far as fitting in its a great place, more transplants than natives. Allot to do and see, go for it. You can always move back if ya don't like it.

It would be helpful if you could let us know what area you're looking at. NC is a very diverse state culturally, economically and geographically.

Do You Have The Career You Wanted As A Kid/teenager?
I always wanted to be in the military. Joined the coast guard because I liked their peace time missions. Loved it, well not always, but the experience gained there opened many doors for me in the civilian world. I have lived a blessed life primarily doing what I wanted when I wanted. Don't chase money, do what u love, miserable job equals miserable life.

The Greatest Finish In All Of Sports
Thanks for the correction, I'm not a Montana or 49ers fan. It was an surreal moment in football. I also remember a snowy game in New England when the field crew swept off the spot for a last minute field goal. Now I have to go look up that play. Thinking it was a playoff game. Nope not a playoff, now called the snowplow game. Gave the patriots their first win of the year over Don Shula's dolphins. One off the dirtiest plays in NFL history

The Greatest Finish In All Of Sports
Another play that was an awesome finish is Superbowl XXVII, Montana to Taylor back of end zone capping off a 92yd drive as time was running out to win the Superbowl.

The Greatest Finish In All Of Sports
Not even close, I'm not an SEC fan, or Alabama or auburn fan. But to win the game with one second on the clock by returning a missed FG 109 yards is crazy. The rivalry between the schools adds the extra dimension. The 2006 bcs game with 25 seconds on the clock doesn't earn even honorable mention. Personally I think the "immaculate reception" Franco Harris steelers is hard to beat.

New Star Wars Movie Teaser Trailer
There is a video of an interview with Mark Hamill circa 1983, where he talks about this start wars. Been in the works a long time. I think George Lucas is a closet Ancient Astronaut Theorist, too many ties with that theory and the star wars universe

New Star Wars Movie Teaser Trailer
Original press releases reported that Mark Hamil, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher were all returning for this sequel. I saw the pictures if the full scale version of the Millinieum Falcon very impressive set. I am assuming it will follow most of the sequel books where Luke reopened the Jedi Temple for training, and subsequent reemergence off the sith. My daughter was a huge fan of the books, I grew up watching the originals didn't know that there were sequel books that are party of the Star Wars canon

Resume/interview Advice Needed
Been there brother, got to be honest. I wouldn't do much explaining on the resume possibly just a small notation about the time period, do the explaining during the interview if asked. With today's economy there are allot of ppl taking pay cuts to remain employed. So your employment history may not raise any issues. I never encountered a problem until after my second go around, then employers looked at me as a walking W/C case. That's when I was designated permanently totaled.

Need Some Life & Career Advice
My advice is to find the job that you're most interested in. Far too many ppl worry about money first, they later realize that they're stone cold miserable. My little brother is a chemical engineer specialty was petroleum, made.6 figures and was miserable. With a wife and four kids in tow he changed career paths nowhere near the money butt is happy, that's something money can't buy. Trade school, college or on the job training doesn't matter if u hate the job. Most successful ppl are absolutely passionate about what they do.

Which Truck Do You Prefer?
As far as comfort goes I prefer Chevy, the Allison tranny its hard to beat durability wise, too. The 7.3 Powerstroke was an awesome engine, but was discontinued. I'm not a fan of the new Powerstrokes. I don't think u would go wrong with either truck. Personally I drive Chevy, now that Dodge stepped up and put a diesel in a half ton I would at least look at it.
