  1. I agree with you can but shouldn't. A jig has a large hook and weed guard. You should have some backbone for a solid hookset.
  2. I would encourage you to stay away from the MH for the baits you listed. It will not do it. I have the 7'11" MH and I use it for my small stuff. These SB rods all have fast action you will be happier with a heavier rod to throw the baits you mentioned.
  3. I only use them in muddy water or at night.
  4. I have only fished it a few times but have caught several fish, nothing big but I would give it a positive review.
  5. Now that's not a worm, that's a snake!
  6. Congrats young man that is a fine Hawg. Caught my first jig fish this year and now have over ten. It is a good big fish bait. Tight lines 8-)
  7. I didn't think it was completely relevent but I remembered this story of cheating from last year. http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/fishing/news/story?id=2870012
  8. I bought two this morning. Can't wait to get them. I bet his first supply don't last long.
  9. These look great. Does anyone know when they will hit the market?
  10. Congratulations on a fun day. Those are some nice fish.
  11. Those are some great small mouths. Congratulations. Tight lines 8-)
  12. I haven't caught anything on it yet but these are really cool. They float and swim much like a real frog http://www.316lurecompany.com/baits/frog.html Tight lines 8-)
  13. I must say I also love the LC RC line of baits. I use the .5 - 2.5. For a cheaper bait though I like the Bandit 100. It's a square bill that has caught me a lot of fish and it is a lot easier on the wallet. Tigt lines 8-)
  14. Wow, like everyone else that is picture perfect. Nice fish and nice place to fish. Congratulations. Tight lines 8-)
  15. Very nice fish, congratulations. Thanks for giving someone a chance at catching a nice fish. Tight lines 8-)
  16. Very nice. Thanks for the report and pictures. Light tackle can be a lot of fun. Tight lines 8-)
  17. Very nice, congratulations! Tight Lines 8-)
  18. I think that was him voting. JK ;D I voted for Parker. Hes a good guy and a good fisherman. I agree with many of you Dance is funny but the private waters get old. Zona, funny, I like watcing him.
  19. Anything I havn't given a fair chance. I find that as soon as I give a bait a fair chance in the correct circumstances, it starts working. Don't give up on those baits talked about before. Except, maybe the banjo and anything with flying in it. ;D : Tight lines 8-)
  20. Nice pics of somme good looking fish. Congrats! tigt lines 8-)
  21. I don't know your fishery but your talking about two totaly different presentations. Both are nice but the Magic Swimmer may have more applications then the Sammy. Tight lines 8-)
  22. I think so far most of the suggestions are good. I would go on to say you should stay away from flipping sticks if at all possible and stick to a SB rod. Okuma makes reasonably priced rods (around $100.00) that perform better then any flipping stick. As for reels you can get away with any good quality large spool baitcaster until you can replace it with a shimano 400B or T. My 2 cents. 8-) Tight lines
  23. Same price. They both look nice for a SMALL swimbait.
  24. I average more then once but less then twice. 8-) Tight lines,
