Is there a second generation of the trokar hooks? If so, I might try them again. First ones I tried bent, broke and tips rolled big time. How would one know the difference????
  3. Didn't know they stopped producing that bait! Gonna have to check my stock as well!
  4. Oh yea! White tea - silver yen zin pearls. Flavored white - chateau blanc. These are great blended or alone. Black tea - monkey picked. Herbal - honeybush vanilla and zinzerberg coconut. And my favorite white aruvidic chai. Lots of good green teas like dragonwell. Anda bunch of oolong teas I can't remember the names. How about you, any fav's? I always pack a thermos every day with tea. After my cup of coffee in the morning, it keeps me warm and evenly caffeinated throughout the day!
  5. That place is dangerous. Rarely can I get out of there without 3-4 new teas!
  6. Endless, you do your tea shopping at teavana?!
  7. Not sure if what I do is considered finess, but I go with a 3/16 bitsy bug with a 5" kuttail worm on 14lb floro with a good bit of success on bc equipment with a moderat action rod. Might drop down to 12lb because I'm starting to get the feeling that sometimes the fish feel me first!
  8. Worts look awesome! Like those megas a lot as well. Wish I could do that! Do you sell or are those for keeps?!
  9. If its not frozen, I'm trying! Caught fish earlier last week, looking forward to the brief warmup this week. If conditions are favorable this weekend, I'm hopping in the boat and giving it a shot!
  10. quan - for the occoquan reservoir I enjoy fishing so much jig - for the lure I enjoy fishing so much

That's a shame. My wife runs 3 animal hospitals and she sees the problems with owners that are not responsible caretakers of their pets. If you don't find the owners via chip, see if you can contact a lab rescue in your area, explain the situation and hopefully a happy ending will ensue. Good luck and keep us posted!
  12. If it were me, I'd be like bird dog and pick up 2 as well. Wish I could find a deal like that at my friendly neighborhood Dick's. Only I would need RH. I have one on a Veritas and love it. 7"3" MH mod with fast tip. 14 lb floro and some scroungers and you will be set.
  13. Nice chubby bass. Not skipping any meals!
  14. 47 y/o. You do the math. I have a little more experience as well as others on this board. Questions are good........ To a point! Trial and error are a part of the learning curve. Best part of the community of fishermen here is that you can gleen from the info provided here to make better educated decisions on the questions you ask. Just sayin'........
  15. Sorry J, text has no inflection!!
  16. Actually, yes, I fish quite well thanks. Yes J, I fully understand kneel and reel. I guess a better question would be how often you fish deep cranks? I mean truthfully, sounds like you know what you want, but at the same time you don't. Glass rod, composit rod, graphite rod and all the others. Do you have an ideal how each type of rod will react with the bait and line combinations? I'm just trying to help you make an informed decision, I've only been fishing about 3 times as long as you have been in this earth lol!
  17. So wait, I'm a bit confused. You are gonna be deep cranking with your rod in the water........... Why on earth are you concerned with the weight?
  18. I have the mojo 7'8" and had to try it with a few different lines before I really started loving it. Try it with a quality floro 10-14lb. I think you might be pleasantly surprised.
  19. Just my .02, I prefer mono when fishing jb's. Keeps the bait as neutral as possible. I want the bait to suspend as much as possible. Floro too sinky!
  20. A great post spawn bait. Shallow cover, hop in place and hold on. Usually a bite on the first hop!
  21. I throw the same trailers myself, in the same conditions. In the extreme cold I like a small finess worm on a 3/16oz. bitsy bug. Small flirt worm or small kuttail. Works every time!!
  22. I fished a pond yesterday, caught one and missed one. I was making snow cones most of the day. I was happy with the results considering the conditions!
  23. That would be a luckycraft pointer 78 if I had to guess!
  24. Wow

Sounds like you have the right perspective on things. It's nIce to have a forum to vent and know a lot of friendly people are willing to listen and keep you grounded. I value my time and community here on BR............................ Keeps me warm and fuzzy lol! I basically echo what bluebasser said!!
  25. I find that less aggressive trailers work better in colder water. As the water warms I go bigger and use baits with more action.
