  1. it was way slow today that all I can tell you.....
  2. I fished the southern open with an Elite series angler from Alabama who fished the classic. he said he that as an angler and one from Alabama he was embarrassed by how people where acting during that tournament. that people were literally pulling up on spots before you could get out of sight and it was worse than any pictures could show, he had people literally pull in front of him and start fishing 30 yards in front of him on day 2.
  3. try golden gate canal.
  4. played almost every sport at some point in time, had a couple football offers before getting hurt my senior year of hs, now I just fish, hunt, Coach high school football and help my buddies run the occasional lacrosse, rugby or track meet.
  5. check out the St Johns Bass Anglers, its a great club in town, its one of the oldest in the country. Several well known Pro Anglers and fishing personalities were in the club through the years. strike zone is a good starting point also.
  6. read the comments on the 50 similar post that you can find.
  7. Luck is a part of it, but some one once told me luck is where preparation and fate come together. I believe it, I look back at a college tournament I fished last week, I had a very good bag day one, but day two I fished the same water, but never got a good bite. I cant control what bites, all I can do is catch what does.

  11. my advice would be join FGCU's Fishing club and make some friends, we fish a lot of different areas and have some really good spots.
  12. for the FGCU Tourny we had 29 entries and First place had 25.55(Big fish of 8.9 and another 8.4), 2nd had 25.25, 3rd had 23 and change and 2nd bigfish of 8.5. there were 11 bags of 19 pounds or more. More importantly we raised over 2200 bucks to help us be able to afford to fish this season.
  13. Just to clear up any confusion, The FGCU Fundraising tournament and King of the Glades will be going on at the same time and same place, this sunday at slims. instead of moving one we are allowing anglers to pay both entry fees and weigh the same fish for both tournaments.
  14. That was during the BFL.
  15. If you are fishing the BLM tourney out of slims, consider also fishing the FGCU Fundraising tournament we have talked and will be allowing people to fish both. if you don't want to fish, at least get in on the 50/50 or Raffle.
  16. Any one fishing Okeechobee this weekend, my club the FGCU Fishing Club will be holding our annual fundraising tournament out of slims on oct. 20th, from sun up till 3pm, it will be 75 bucks a team plus 10 for big fish. If you need more info please let me know.
  17. most of my stuff is either gated or is no good any more, if the spill ways are running fish them for snook or bass. the webb lakes can be good. working canals in the cape and Lehigh are always good options.
