Most rods now are manufactured in China so you know the labor is cheap and another rod I've heard about the price to make one is Kistler rods is about 9 bucks a rod. I've never broke a rod setting the hook or casting closing the rod locker yes putting my knee on a rod to land a fish yes both hurt but stuff happens, too each his own.

Yeah that dog-weed fuzzy crap is bad....lol Seems like the Ducketts have the smallest micro guides of any rod.

Is it you hate the micro guides for as running your line threw them or what?

Very sure its not a ghost the local store is getting rid or discounting to make room for the new Duckett rods.
