Stren's Microfuse and Sinking braid
Yeah, Dominick, there's so many lines to choose from that it's hard to keep up with them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Happy birthday, Muddy. Be careful drinking that six pack of DTs.

What's the biggest bass you ever caught

Stren's Microfuse and Sinking braid
I like to use Sufix Performance braid and I like Power Pro as well, but I want to keep my mind open. Has anyone used the Stren Microfuse or the Sinking braid? How did you like these lines? How do they compare to other braided lines? Do you feel that the sinking braid gave you benefits you couldn't obtain with regular floating braid? Thanks for any input.

RW, who do you think you are accusing us of having an attitude? Do you want a piece of me?

The 50 Greatest Lures of All Time
A thread awhile back talked about the casual Wal-mart fishermen. I believe this list is for them.

Who Cares?
Muddy, you are freaking killing me. ;D I think this is the second time I've seen that nasty picture today. Different strokes, for different folks. I understand Sam's interests, but I kind of agree with fourbizz a little too. I hate to sit in front of the TV all weekend watching sporting events when I could be outside doing something else, or playing guitar. I try to keep a good balance.

Power Pro Braid??
I think Dodgeguy was testing the visibility factor this year and he noticed he was getting more bites fishing fluoro in situations where he had only fished braid before. (Dodgeguy, correct me if I'm incorrect.) When fishing thick vegetation I see no reason to have a fluoro leader as visibility is poor anyway and a green braid will blend in, but if you are fishing wood, I think it might be a good idea. I made some comparisons between fluorocarbon and braid this year, and I think the leader made a difference in my number of strikes. I really think that in some situations the fish can see the braid. IMO. BTW, Power Pro is a good choice. Sufix is my personal preference.

What are you?
I'm getting a laugh out of some of these responses, but I'm sure WIII-60 was seeking some serious answers to his question. I'm a network engineer. I install and support data and voice over IP networks. I try to fish as much as I can. I'm also an expletive that can't be entered on this forum.

I don't know if I would accept eyeglass advice from a guy whose screen name is deadeye32. ;D

Prescription Sunglasses - seeking recommendations
I bought some prescription sunglasses last year and they are truly awesome. Mine are made by Maui Jim. I would highly recommend them.

What does your gear/tackle bag weigh???
The weight of a tackle bag is a moving target. It's like the guy who continues to gain weight until he weighs over a 1000 lbs. It never ends. I would venture a guess that Raul has some of the heaviest bags in the fishing kingdom.

BR Lure Fun?
I never said anything but I thought the Mojo idea was silly. I mean, can't we do something realistic. Why don't we pass around a rabbit's foot instead? :

Who Cares?
I like the game. I hate the extravaganza. It's supposed to be about football. I don't need the hours and hours of analysis about everything from who Tom Brady is dating to what underwear he is wearing, what parties are thrown, and what celebrities are in attendance. I miss the old days. The game was big enough and you didn't have all this other garbage. And then everyone saw that the Super Bowl was a way to make money . . . . . . the common man can hardly afford to attend now. I watch the game. I ignore the rest . . .

NYG!!!! WIN IT wow!!!
For sure. While I thought Eli played a poised game, I told my wife at the end of the game that the MVP should go to the whole defense. It just goes to show you that no matter how great a quarterback is, it affects their play when they are getting knocked all over the field. There were 5 sacks and I believe Brady was knocked down 12 times. That type of beating will affect any quarterback.

NYG!!!! WIN IT wow!!!
lPa1nl, you are a true sportsman. I was rooting for the Giants but I had mixed feelings. I hate to see Junior Seau retire without a Super Bowl win but it looks like that will may be the case. What a game! There is another thread for greatest Super Bowl and I guess I would choose this one now. No matter who won, we all were watching history in the making. Either we were going to see the greatest season ever by a team, or we were going to see the greatest upset.

NYG!!!! WIN IT wow!!!
Isn't that him with the keys to the Caddy? MVP Yes, I said for 1 night he was dynamic. But one MVP performance does not make up for three years of being a sub-par QB. Look at Doug Williams, he destroyed Denver in Super Bowl XXII, and was MVP but for most of his career he was subpar. Eli, overrated? He has been catching flack for being mistake-prone ever since he came into the league. If anything, he may be underrated. Though I don't place him in the upper class of quarterbacks, he has shown quite a bit of poise over the last half of the season. Poise counts far more than stats in big games. I think the praise he is receiving now is well-deserved.

Incredible Keyboard Solo
Yes, I would say he has, ghoti. I'm surprised no one responded to this. I suppose the 3 1/2 minute classical section at the beginning turned some people off. To me, that is the most extreme part of the piece.

What is your kind of music?
RedneckRiot27 and Josh Vandermeer: It's nice to hear of some people who like Dream Theater. I've mentioned them on rare occasions over the past couple of years and I can't remember if anyone has ever mentioned liking them. Their music does require an intense listening experience which many aren't in to. And hearing one of their songs really doesn't tell you what the band is like because they play such a wide range of styles. Josh, "A Change of Seasons" is awesome though my favorite album is Scenes From a Memory.

Incredible Keyboard Solo
The thread, What is your kind of music, got me to thinking about my favorite band. Here is a video of an incredible piano/keyboard solo from a man who went to Juliard at age 9. I hope you enjoy it.

What is your kind of music?
I own a ton of music and I have played a ton of music on guitar, from classical to heavy metal. Like Avid stated there is great music among a number of genre's though I tend to listen to more progressive rock and heavier sounding music from all decades from now back to the 60's. There are a number of popular bands in a number of genres whose talent leaves much to be desired. This band has talent out the yin-yang: Dream Theater. Many of you probably haven't heard them but they've been making albums since 1989 and have produced 9 studio albums as well as some EPs and a number of live albums. Their second album, Images and Words, went Gold it's first year but their label never gave them any support due to the fact that their music is incredibly complex and doesn't fit the popular music paradigm of today. They still sell 300,000 - 400,000 of every album by touring to support them. If you like music that requires technique, compositional ability, and talent and runs the gamut from gentle to metal, jazz to headbanging, you need to give them a listen. If you're looking for two to four minute songs with simple hooks this is not your band. That's not to say I don't like songs with simple hooks because there are many great simple songs that are composed well. But this music goes places where most bands don't dare to tread.

I've heard that the lowly carp has been rated as number 1 in a few places. If you want to hang into a freight train, catch a carp. Just make sure you have your drag set correctly. My favorite shows: The Bass Pros In-Fisherman Bill Dance Angling Edge
