I actually recorded this and just watched the second show with the confrontation last night. It's too bad it was in another country. I would have liked to see them bring in some Sopranos-like characters and beat the living s$%^ out of the guy.

I'm really glad to hear you say that. Here on the SE Florida Coast it is ALWAYS windy. Seriously, I have to laugh when I read about guys talking about how 15mph wind ruined their trip. that is a daily occurance in my neighborhood. My bass have pretty well spawned out, but there are some beds left. I really made an effort to "sight fish" but was frustrated because I was practically on top of the bed before I could see it. I pretty much know where the main bedding areas are and pitch to where they "should" be, but I stopped doing it because it's pretty much the same as blind casting and it wasn't much fun. I would love to sneak up on a bed and see a big ole hawg I could pitch a tube to. Maybe one day. Great bass by the way. FC, great fish as usual! I don't think we've had a day over the last month on the western edge of Misouri and in Kansas where the wind wasn't blowing 20 - 30 mph. They call Chicago the windy city? Give me a break. Sight fishing? Ha, what is that?

Where I"m at, the spawn usually begins in mid-April and can last up to four weeks, and sometimes more. We had a very warm late March and it looked like the spawn had a chance to begin earlier this year, but during the last week temperatures have been winter-like. We set a record low on Friday morning of 18. Highs are barely touching the 40s. Water temps are still low 50s, though Truman and Lake of the Ozarks were touching 56 and 57 before the cold spell.

Same here. No saltwater experience. The wife and I are discussing a vacation including it but that's future tense.

Yeah, that's right. Some prognosticators were picking the Pirates to perform better this year although nothing close to the teams they fielded in the 70s. Houston and the Cardinals share the NL central cellar right now.

I haven't tried them for shakey heads yet, but on the show, "The Bass Pros," KVD was using the Strike King 3x worms on shakey heads and on film, their action looks awesome. The worm floats so it sticks straight up when stopped and it wiggles very enticingly. I'm going to try some with spot remover jigs and see how they work.

Catt, do you have any of the older, original Wiggle Warts? They work great on shallow spotted bass in current.

Muddy, I'm worried about my World Series Champs. Not only were they swept, but they were outscored 20 to 2 in three games. That's just downright ugly. The Cardinals have displayed no offense at all and their pitching has sucked, not to mention that Carpenter was complaining of inflammation in his elbow on the first day and he won't pitch against Houston today. Duncan hopes he'll be ready for Pittsburgh next week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is just an early season glitch. The whole team appears to be in a slump.
