Mono for jerkbaits?
I use Suffix Siege 12lb. Works great. I used to use yozuri hybrid but i hated it. Power pro 30lb is a good alternative but you have to be gentle on the hookset and on the jerk.

HAVOC BAITS!!!!
I dont understand why everyone is giving these baits a hard time. Has everyone tried them??? Do you not try something before criticizing it??? All of the posts seem to have re-ocuring problems. Scent, Price and Innovation. Here are my comments on those 3 topics: SCENT : I like the fact that there is no scent. That way i can smear Megastrike all over them. PRICE : These baits are super cheap. These baits are great for people starting out who dont have the dollars to put on expensive plastic baits. INNOVATION : Althought they are not reinventing the wheel they are different. COLORS : I think their color selection is great I think what they are trying to do is offer a line of products that are cheap and give a bait in every category. All they need to add is a power worm, a tube and a senko type bait and you can basically cover all your bases. I will definetly try the Spear, the wide load and the slop craw.

Bass baits. Suggestions?
Here's what I would suggest: 1-Yamamoto senko - Green Pumpkin Black Flake (Stick Bait) 2-Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG hooks (for texas rigging) 3-Gamakatsu 1/0 Finess wide gap (for wacky rigging) 3-White/Chartreuse 3/8oz Spinnerbait (covers entire water column) 4-Rattletrap chrome black back This should cost you about 20$ and will get you well on your way.

Who buys GY Senkos?
I only fish GYCB Senkos. They are the best. I love fishing Senko's because you know that youre gonna catch fish. If your not catching then there are no fish in your lake.

Suggestions for hollow bodied tubes?
I fish alot of tubes. I mean ALOT of tubes and the ones I prefer are the 3.5 Strike King Coffee tubes. Its really too bad that BPS stopped selling the coffee tubes kit.

rapala subwalk
The Subwalk has been a great addition for me. I have caught ALOT of bass including my PB 4.1lb smallmouth. This bait works great for early spring fishing. The first day I got it I headed out and caught these 3 in less than 1hr. I like to cast it out, let it sink for 5 seconds and then rip it back. Once you figure out how to properly glide it underwater or make it dart this bait becomes dangerous. You can cast it parallel to a dock and have it glide in and out underneath it. Or you can glide it onto and off of beds. After using it and becoming very comfortable with gliding it I have also used it around lily pads gliding it right into the pads. They key is to not overwork the bait and to let it glide as far as it wants to. Once it has stopped moving I will generally let it sit for 5-10 seconds. This is when the hits generally happen.

Which paddle tail swimbait
Berkley Hollow Belly. These are the best that I have tried.

twh has the new berkley havoc for preorder ?
I dont see anything but HYPE here. A twin tail gtub, a craw and another beaver bait. WOOHOO. There is nothing new here. They hype it up and everyone on the forums jumps on board and then.... TW sells out. Typical. If your gonna hype up on baits like this atleast they could come up with something different or a twist on something. Rage tail baits came out and they were a swing on existing baits. They didnnt re-invent the wheel but they made it better. The bait monkey has completely taken me over and I buy way more tackle then I need but I just wont buy something based on Hype.

Trokar hooks are they worth the price??
Owner and Gamakatsu are amazing hooks. I buy the 25 packs. They are all I buy. I tried Trokar when they came out but they are not better than the others.

Your Suggestion for a Spinning Rod Under $50
The best deal for 50$ or less will be found on this site in the flea market. If your patient you could probably get a lightly used 100$ rod for 50$. You will get alot more bang for your buck.

Seaguar Lines?
I fished Lake Erie with Simon Frost last year for 2 days and all I used was 6lb Tatsu on a drop shot. This line is amazing!!! I am waiting for a sale to happen this year and I will buy some 6 and 10 lb rolls. In the past I have used 10lb invisx as a leader with power pro and it is also very good.
