Calais CL100A VS CORE 50MG
I am placing my order this week for my new rods and reels. I a unsure of waht reel to pick up. It will be used for: -shalllow cranks 0-6 -medium cranks 6-12 -topwater -hard jerkbaits I am replacing my Curado E5 because i find it too slow. The calais is 5.8 24ipt and the core is 7.0 28 ipt. It will be on a cumara reaction 7'0 MH mod/fast. What would you suggest?

Double Fluke Rig
It would likely work, but not as effectively as uisng swivels. If you use two barrel swivels then the front fluke is able to move much more. Also, when rigged the two flukes are fairly close together so it looks like two baitfish schooling or if you use a large and small fluke a fish feeding on a smaller fish. The way you have it rigged separates the two baits too much. Here is how KVD rigs it. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CFPage?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&template=video.cfm&cat=Fishing&subCatID=14&connectionSpeed=broadband&videoID=670&startRow=0&videoType=prodcutdemo&option=2&cmid=OLPHVIDEO_670_HIGH KVD's rig looks awesome... Towards teh end you can see on his hig that he has two different color flukes. I will definetly try this

Where have I been...
All i will say is that from my experience with rods, shimano has the best replacement warranty available. That said if i slam my rod in a car door i will not try and get a replacement from the manufacturer. In my opinion thats abuse of the system. If its my fault i assume the consequences 100%. But if it is not my fault and it breaks then its nice to know that shimano has a warranty in place that covers me and that they will have a new rod for me as soon as possible free of charge.

We mortals could only dream of having a day of bass fishing like this...
FYI by saying.... I wasnnt implying that it didnnt happen or that they are liars or anything like that i was just stating that i would love to see the pictures. Bass around here dont get bigger that 5-6lbs. So a story like that is amazing to me. Thats all

What do you use spinning gear for?

Curado vs Chronarch vs Calais
I'm gonna pick up 2 core 50's and if i find the one for my crankbait rod too fast i'll just keep using the curado e5 i was using last year.
-
Are you stocking up your box this winter?
I give mine to my nephews. Crazy too.... I could have a crap lure that cant even catch weeds and these guys can catch all day with them. I gave them a crazy crawler that i broke 1 leg off last year and the next day one of them nailed his PB 4lb lmb. Its great for them because instead of playing video games or watching tv they are fishing.

Where have I been...
So let me get this straight...... Piece of mind for you is buying a quality product and having to pay 50$ to get a replacement if it breaks or is defective. WOW. Funny how I see it diffrerently. I buy a quality rod and if it breaks I get a new one for FREE, no shipping and no extra charges. SHIMANO RULES!!!

A bait you hate to use
Spro Bronze eye... I generally miss the hookset and get a flying frog buzzing by my head!!! But its awesome when you get it.
