  1. where you from Alexandria? Do you usually do pretty good out there?
  2. Ok this lake I have been to only once when I was about ten years old I had fished nearly two or three hours walking the bank with my cousin till we finally went to the swimming beach where I threw an Allen crankbait off and hooked into a good 4 lb fish which got away. Anyways the big news is that this lady almost set the state record for Louisiana...... if she would have only been able to keep this fish alive till she weighed it in or gotten it to certified scales in time. Here is the link go check it our for yourself.......... http://www.thetowntalk.com/article/20100518/SPORTS/5180331/Alexandria-s-Womack-catches-near-record-bass-at-Valentine-Lake
  3. Yea in the picture his looks bigger than ours but it isn't. He had the second biggest his was a low 4lber. We have great times at these things and we'll probably try to have a few git together "Jelly Jar" tournaments this summer out of school.
  4. Ok man sure thing! I might be fishing a tournament with my buddy tomarrow but school is about to be out so I'll give you a call one day soon maybe we can head out and catch some.
  5. nah man those Cappie are crazy on our home lake. They hit spinnerbaits all the time. We allow everyone to keep the crappie if they'd like to make a nice meal. Our parents were taking so many pictures I had to keep taking my fish in and out of my weigh bag to keep them alive but luckily they all swam off just fine. When you are dealing with highshcool kids though that only have "jon" boats you sometimes get some dead ones in so one person usually ends up with a nice mess of Bass and Crappie or what we call "White Perch" and I was the lucky one this time .
  6. Ok.... it's been a while since I've posted but school, work, and family have been rough. But here are some photos of our last Highschool tournament, finally got them posted. Me and my buddy are in the yellow shirts. We stole first place and big bass... My buddy caught big bass weighing 4.75 and our total weight was somewhere around 11 lbs. I wish I had pictures from the tournament before that when we had 14 something lbs. and I caught Big bass that weighed 5.92. Both tournaments, the big fish was the last fish caught of the day. Anyway i thought Id share some of the good news about our Highschool fishing here in Central Louisiana.... It's a growing thing and I'm lovin' it.
  7. Lol wow! Looks like you got a great catch. I'm talking about the girlfriend btw. You'd better hang onto any woman that can catch fish like that. I'd let her fish every tournament with me. lol
  8. I'm seventeen and we have a bassfishing club at two schools within our Parish (County) here in Louisiana. We have tournaments on weekends probably about two per month. We had one last saturday and I finished in first and big bass. We had 13.8 Pounds and our big bass weighed 5.92 lbs. So we definately have alot of yound fisherman down here in the Who Dat nation. I'll post some pics of the next tournament which may be this weekend.
  9. Hey man I couldn't help noticing that you are from Ada, OK. My buddy's family is from up that way and I went with him up there last summer to Paul's Valley and fished a little on Lake Longmire. I was wondering if you had heard of it or even fished it? It has some monster fish in it.
  10. Wow! those are some nice fish man and that's some nice looking structure in the background of one of your pictures.
  11. Sounds like a great day my friend....
  12. Hey Josh its Dalton from BASIC. Don't tell me you caught them two fish on Saline, I'll never believe you.
  13. What lake were you fishing? That lake looks just like lake longmire in Oklahoma.
  14. Same here in my opinion. That is a monster!
  15. Nice fish man! I'm just glad that its warming up and you northern guys are getting to get out and do some fishing.
  16. Nice pictures! I love watching them in clear water... it drives me crazy!
  17. I'd say about 5 lbs and don't worry bout these guys raggin on you about your seats. I'm sure your seats are cleaner than their hands lol and anyone that lays a fish on the ground to take a picture is doing alot worse than you are because they are getting trash in their gills.
  18. Nice Fish! Just wondering.... have you ever cuaght a fish, smallmouth or largemouth, under 6 lbs? lol
  19. I spoke with SRA reps at San Miguel today.... The highschool tourney has been cancelled. Gosh man! What a bummer I was really looking forward to this tournament all year. :'(
  20. Trust me.. there is nothing like it. the problem in grass isnt the prop.... if that gives anyone a hint. BTW my uncle was here when I got off of work and had a model of packaging for it and everything. I believe my dad and my uncle have decided to name it the "Geaux-rilla" Trolling Motor Gaurd. If you know anything about Geaux Tigers or Geaux Saints you would understand. We are from Louisiana AKA the Who Dat Nation!
  21. I Heard that the 1215 area is like chocolate milk right now. a friend of mine fished the LOBI and finished, i believe, 128th. He sayed that they had to go south of Pendleton and got up a creek their somewhere and caught their fish. Does anyone know how I can get in touch with someone that deals with the Cypress bend area. The website hosting the National Highschool Tournament has been deleted or something and I would like to know if they are still having it?
  22. Those sir, are some mighty large fish.....
  23. Thats a good one man! Keep em coming guys.
  24. Ok guys, I can't release any information about this product yet. My dad and my uncle have designed something that goes onto your trolling motor that allows you to go through all kinds of grasses with ease. I can't tell you how it works or what it looks like. What we do need is an outstanding name. Something that stands out and catches peoples attention. We were thinking about Hydrilla Gorilla but there is a Kistler rod called that, a buzzbait, and an aluminum boat. So we are not exactly sure if we will be able to use that name. I was wondering what you guys could come up with that could help us out, and hopefully, people will like this new product and you will see it on the market soon enough.
  25. I love a worm or jig strike, if you can call that a strike other than a bite. I just love knowing that they're caught while they don't even know it.
