When bass are hitting bugs what do you use?
See from this here i would forget the fluke and all other crap and just stick to the frog.. I would rather catch one 6lber than 30 15" fish anyday... but thats just me

Now these are jigs
Nice Jigs but to thick for my tastes. I think they would be a good hot summer jig though I've stopped buying jigs from other people.. But pouring and painting my own jigs is a pain in the arse so I just buy boss jig heads in bulk and tie my own skirts... I can make 60+ jigs for about $125 That's like 2 bucks a piece and I get to pick how long, how many strands, what colors, and so on. Plus it gets me in the fishing room and out of my wife's radar for a while. and since i live over seas it's cheaper than buying and shipping marketed jigs. plus i just like fishing something I made These are the heads I use http://www.***.com/BOSS_Gary_Klein_Heavy_Cover_Jig_Head_4pk/descpage-BOSSGKH.html http://www.***.com/BOSS_Standup_Football_Jig_Head_4pk/descpage-BOSSSUF.html http://www.***.com/BOSS_Football_Jig_Head_4pk/descpage-BOSSFJH.html

Your Tackle "System"
My tournament Box is the only thing that really gets organized the rest goes on the peg board or in the rubbermaid bins, then I have 3 bags I use for different stuff. The Tournamet Box only goes out to tournaments... So i have a habbit of buying two of everything

Is it crazy that...
I plan on spending over 3 grand in total. This is my plan. A grand or so on rods, A grand on reels and a grand on baits. But I have another delama. Do iI use the money to buy more expensive JDM and KDM items that I will not beable to buy in the states when I return or do I buy Domestic stuff and then pay to have it shiped to me or a combination of the two.

Picking a reel for flippin/picthin
I am a bit confused why drag is even an issue? your drag should be locked down as tight as you can get it when pitching and fliping.. I cant think of a situation with in 50ft fishing in junk with 65lb braid and a heavy+ powered rod that you would have to worry about setting the drag to anything else than lock down

2010 Damiki Craft Cup, Korean Amateur Bass Fishing Tournament
It was really hard.. probably the most pressured fishing conditions I have ever had to deal with.. they had three zones that you could fish from. with a spotter at each zone. when you caught a fish they would come and weigh it using a digital hand scale (they all used the same brand). Then they released it right then and there. what counted for the win was you 2 biggest fish of the day.( No one caught more than two anyway, in fact only 20 people out of the 150+ folks caught fish at all.) We had a badge that had our name registration number and a stamp that proved you where present at the start. at times there were like four guys casting at the same piece of cover... since it was my first time i got kinda frustrated because I didn't want to crowed anyone but there was just no good places left to fish. 90% of the Amateur Bass Tournaments in Korea are bank only cause they don't have bass boats here.

Is it crazy that...
Most of them would probably never even see water I just like my fishing room to look like a tackle store... Is it Crazy that I would like to live in a Tackle Store? lol It scares me how much money I could spend on tackle some times.. If I could spend over a grand on just DD crank baits what would happen if I tried to price all of the baits I like...

Crank Bait rod selections
I take that back about their web site they have changed it (probably due to feed back on the rod) They now call it a trap caster which is what it's good at... They also have a 7'6" M now for cranking too
-
Crank Bait rod selections
Any of the designated crank rods out there are great. If it were me though I would buy the Damiki 7'6" crank model. but if it's out of your budget then you should really look into the 7' MH Bucoo. it's super sensitive and yet the taper is perfect for cranking... they list it as a fast action rod on their web site but it really is a Mod/Fast . Here is a picture to prove it.. Tell me thats not a Mod to Mod/fast Rod

2010 Damiki Craft Cup, Korean Amateur Bass Fishing Tournament
Saltwater fishing and freshwater carp fishing is much more popular but there is a growing movement of Bass fisherman here I predict that with in the next ten years it will be as big here as it is in japan. Korean rod and lure companies are making headlines as of late and it's a mater of time before the awesomeness of bass fishing spreads like a fire. I mean after all there is no better game fish in the world ;D

2010 Damiki Craft Cup, Korean Amateur Bass Fishing Tournament
Actually there are quite a few places to go but it's hard with out a car. They have lots of reservoirs and a few natural lakes mostly in the center and South west part of the country... but they have two pro circuits that also run the amateur side...

Dobyns Rods?
I'm glad to hear that every one loves the Rods.. I was shocked to find out the OEM also makes all the Orvis Fly rods too along with Dobyns and then their Domestic Bass and fly rods I'll have to become as good of friends with this rep as i can and maybe i can get a field test gig... I'm fishing this companies tournament in two weeks... 2nd through 7th gets a pair of champion extremes

Gary Yamamoto Rods
So how do you like it? Sensitivity or quality? is it a good rod or is it something that will sit on my rod rack and never get used?

2010 Damiki Craft Cup, Korean Amateur Bass Fishing Tournament
So I fished this tournament this weekend and it was far from how we do tournaments in the states. It was a from the bank only tournament and there were over 150 guys fishing all in the same spot. Talk about High pressure fishing. I finished 10th with only one 2 pound fish that i caught on a 4" Chompers tube t rigged. I picked this bait because every one and their brother-in-law was throwing wacky worms and drop shots. It was cold and windy with the bass still in a pre spawn pattern I would dead stick the bait and then rip it of the bottom. The spot I picked was a sun laden rip-rap bank with bridge pylons. I am fishing another tournament like this in two weeks and was wondering if anyone had any tips for extremely pressured fish from the bank.

Gary Yamamoto Rods
I just won one of these Rods at a Tournament here in Korea and was wondering if anyone has one or has used one.. The rod is being shiped to me so I have not held it yet.. I looked at the Yamamoto Web set and even the cheapest rod is 100$ and they seem to have pretty good componets, Made with a high modulus IMX blank and Fuji SiC guides,

Dobyns Rods?
Has any one heard any bad things about the G2 rods form Dobyns yet? Like anything that happened with the first gen? I just met a high ranking member of their OEM here in Korea at a tournament here and was thinking of checking out some of their domestic brands... I know TT gave the rods a good review and preview but havn't heard anything in awhile about them.
