I have a lot of mixed feelings about this war and especially about stories like this. First off I'd like to say that American service personnel have had to perform an extremely dangerous job in an extremely harsh environment and for this they should all be commended. Why are these troops sleeping on the floor? Why do they have to order their own sleeping mats? Why does a private company have to ship mats to soldiers? Why is it so terrible for this person other than from a customer service standpoint voice their objection to the war? I have a few thoughts on this unbending support for the Troops issue. Lots of people in this country don't support this war and don't believe there is a reason we should continue it. Why is it wrong that some of these people don't support the people involved in it. We have the right in this country to disagree with our governments actions just as we currently have the right to choose to serve or not to serve in the armed forces. I can understand why people in the Vietnam era and prior felt it was improper to not support military personnel. A majority of people during these wars were essential forced into service for their country. While I can see why disagreeing with the actions of a person who was drafted is not right why is it wrong for someone to disagree with a person who freely chooses to perform. These are just some thoughts I have when I read stories like this and the starbucks story. I'm sure these will get a lot of people's feathers ruffled and that wasn't my intention. I just want people to think beyond their own personals views and see things from different sides. .

If the patriots had 300 yards in returns against the colts can you imagine what Devin Hester is going to do to the Colts special teams. The Bears defense isn't big, it's scary fast. Urlacher doesn't wear down as the game goes on he just gets meaner and faster. Any team that gameplans to keep the bears D on the field is gameplanning for a loss. The longer the Bears D is on the field the more points off of turnovers they'll have. Indy has to score quick to have any chance against the bears D. Try a product called "GINK" its a dry fly dressing. It sticks to your guides and line and keeps them completly free of ice. I use this steelheading in the coldest of weather when an untreated rod and line freezes up after a few casts. This is definitly a great idea snd a great benifit of belonging to this forum. The only thing I have to say about this is that what Daniel said is true. Some post on these questions come from people who have not personally used the products and therfore are of no real benifit. If you haven't used a product I dont think you can honestly give a good assesment.

I have no doubt that this reel will most likely be a good product. I used to be a strict shimano guy but a coupke years ago purchased a president spinning reel for a new fisherman which eventually never found its way out of my closet. After sitting unused for a while I decided to spool it up and use it. Was I ever suprised!! The reel was smooth and casted like a dream. For $60 i couldnt belive what Pflueger gave you in this reel. Anyone who bashes Pflueger obviously hasn't used one and is commenting with uneducated biast view.

I think it has to so something with the line used in fishing. Tackle also describes; Rigging on a ship, rope used with a pulley such as block and tackle, and rope used to harness animals to wagon and such. This is just a best guess with no concrete evidence behind it.

Palomar is a easier and faster knot to tie and has almost %100 knot strenth like the clinch. I go with the palomar the majority of the time.

I've found that flourocarbon lines are better for cranking for the simple reason that they sink faster. A flouro line will allow you bait to reach you desired depth faster and stay there longer. Alot of times especially when using mono line for deep cranking your bait never really reaches the lower limits of your baits depth.

The problem is most likely your rod or line. Light line for casting light baits also many rods are rated for a certian botom end for lure weight. These rods wont perform properly with lighter baits. With most crankbait rods being M or MH in weight should be able to handle anything down to an 1/4 to 3/8 of an oz. Ant ligter baits you might want to consider a lighter rod also most casting reels don't work well with anything under 8-10lb test so you might want to try a spinning outfit.

Just be careful if your trying to remove rust from hooks or split-rings. Rust will weaken these and removing it will do nothing to improve this weakend state. Replace them. The last thing you want to do is loose a fish to a staigtened hook or a broken split ring.
