Oscar, if Ulrich Schnauss is too mellow or just not for you, then maybe you'll like Sasha or Trentemøller. Both have a very unique sound. These first few are some of the first tracks that got me interested in electronic music, and made me start searching for music that wasn't on the radio, which expanded my horizons musically into many different genres.

Do you mean spray it in the cylinders, like a fogger? Does anybody else fog with Seafoam? Sounds like a good idea.

It's a shame he deleted his own posts. It was a very interesting, thought provoking debate. Now it just looks like Mattlures is ranting to himself with 6 consecutive posts on page 2. Mattlures put some thought into this thread, and he deserves credit for it.

Good point. I agree completely. A decal is more universal than a certain piece or style of clothing. What if we pre-paid for the decals? Then Glenn's you-know-what is covered. I would be willing to do that for the sake of the site, even though it might not be a quick turnaround. I think a decal on a tow vehicle or trailer would be a great advertisement for the site. Too many anglers who could contribute to BR are in the dark. I always check out people's stickers and advertisements when I see them repeatedly in the parking lots of the lakes I fish. A nice decal, combined with a little "dock talk" from members, could bring hundreds if not thousands of new members to Bass Resource over the next few years.

I saw them kick off their Drink The Sea Tour last summer in Minneapolis. The put on a great show. I love innovative electronic music like the Glitch Mob, Brian Eno, Ulrich Schnauss, Sasha, Flying Lotus, Four Tet, James Zabiela, Burial, James Blake, etc. It makes for good driving music with the windows up and the volume cranked.

Good posts on here. The state is charging you, not the store. Bass Pro would love for you not to have to pay sales tax. That way you can buy 5-10% more stuff. I can order from Bass Pro Shops tax free, but I have to pay sales tax on Cabela's orders because there is a Cabela's in MN.

I first learned how to use baitcasting tackle with low quality equipment. BIG mistake. Had I started with decent stuff, I would have saved myself many headaches and backlashes. I would recommend that you purchase a pretty decent rod and reel to begin with, because both of them are important when it comes to learning how to cast. I like the Shimano Citica. This reel that has an excellent track record and a reputation for value. Here's where I would get it from. What are your thoughts? How often and at what strength we should be running additives in our gas in a 2 stroke outboard motor? Lucas and Seafoam are the two I've had my best experiences with. Do you use a weak mix constantly, or do you believe in using a heavier concentration for a short period of time? My neighbor, who I consider to be an expert mechanic and heavy machine operator, swears up and down that if you run Seafoam, Lucas, and Marine Sta-Bil in every tank at about 1/6 - 1/10 the recommended strength, your motor's plugs and carbs will be as clean as a whistle and it will run great. I did this all of last year and my motor responded very well. Thanks, Joe

Has anybody gotten their hands on a DX762 SF yet? I'm considering purchasing one sight unseen, and I'd like to hear your opinions. I'm considering the 762SF and DX742 SF as well. It will be a general purpose finesse rod. Shaky, darter, dropshot, etc. Thx, Joe

No, you're correct. This comes up every couple years. Google "Fishing Rod Leverage" and you'll find lots of people claiming longer rods have more leverage, but they don't. Longer rods have many advantages over shorter rods, but leverage isn't one of them. "...You'll see that a fishing rod is an example of a Class 3 lever. Class 3 levers always have a MA < 1, therefore they would not be used to gain output force. In fact, the further the load (rod tip) is from the point of "input force" (you holding down by the reel) the more effort is required on your part. Subsequently, the longer the rod, the less leverage you have over a fish. In fact, the fish actually gains leverage on you. This may not be apparent to the average basser hauling in 3 and 4 pound bass over weed mats, because the loss is small relative to the size of and force applied by the angler, and easily compensated for in such instances. It becomes much more obvious at the extremes, for example deep water ocean jigging." "To test out this long rod/leverage thing, here is a simple experiment you can do. I learned this one in grade school. Get an old fashioned straw broom and lay it on the floor. Put a small canned good on the straw part using it like a platform. Now, grab the broom handle right next to the straw and lift. Not too difficult really. Now move your hand halfway down the handle and try again. A little more of a struggle. Lastly, slide down and grab the very end of the broom and try to lift the canned good off the floor. Could you even do it? The weight of the small can didn't change. Sounds like Eastern South Dakota and Southeastern Minnesota may get as much as 14" of wet snow in the next 36-48 hrs. This is the worst winter in recent memory, for sure.

You could get a used Loomis MBR844 IMX for that price if you keep an eye out. It's a very popular rod for bottom contact baits, and it's higher quality than the others mentioned.

I like the green Ultra Soft for spinning reels. It appears to be pretty clear underwater, but it's a actually pretty bright lime green above water, so you can watch your line. Great stuff, try the 6 lb test and treat it with KVD Line and Lure. Yo Zuri hybrids are pretty cheap, so it's not a big loss if you decide you don't like it.
