Braid Question
Just bought some power pro 20# for my jig setup but didn't realize it was only 6# diameter. I know the strength is fine but will the small diameter cause issues on my baitcaster or should it be fine?

Thinktank Lure Triggerfish
Check out this video. This is the first lure I've ever seen like this. If it actually works like the video shows I don't see how anyone could go wrong with it. I just ordered one from *** so I'll let everyone know how it goes. Anyone used one yet?

New Pb
Thanks everyone! I know it's not as special as catching a fish that size in public waters but it was a blast. I've never fished a lake that was full of hawgs willing to bite.

New Pb
Met up with a friend of mine this morning to go fishing at his lake. I had seen some nice pictures before and new I had a good change at a nice fish. Started out throwing a High Power Herring floater at daylight and missed a nice one. About 20 minutes later I stuck a nice one that went 7lbs 4oz which is my pb. We fished several more hours and caught some decent fish. About an hour before leaving I caught one that went 5lbs 2oz on a Falcon Racge Craw. Had a great day out today. The one that went 7.4 was missing part of his tail and it was dripping blood. Not sure what this was caused by? Any ideas?

$200 Rods
I'd go with the Cumara CUC-X72MH. I've got one I throw jigs, texas rigs, and carolina rigs on. If I threw many spinnerbaits or hollow bodied swimbaits that would be the rod I'd use.

Rosemary Beach Florida
I didn't make it bass fishing but we drove over to Destin and fished with inshore angler for speckled trout. There looks like there's some lakes in the area when looking on the map though.

Calcutta Te 200Gt Vs Calcutta 200Dc
Can someone give me a comparison on these reels? I see the DC's selling used all the time in the 300 dollar range, a lot of times cheaper than a 200GT new. I hardly ever see a 200GT for sale. I'm wanting a striper combo for around here but also a combo I can take to Florida and fish with in the bay for reds or whatever else. I was thinking about getting a Loomis PBR844c and one of these 2 reels. Thanks

Destin Deep Sea Fishing
Can anyone recommend a charter in Destin, Florida. A couple of buddies and myself are going the first of August and would like to get into some sharks or any medium to large sized fish. Thanks

Concealed Carry Handguns
Just bought the new Diamondback DB9 this weekend. It's the smallest 9mm picket pistol made from what I was told. I haven't shot it yet so I can't tell you much about it. It fits perfect in my front pocket. The decision was between that or the Kahr CM9 (a new cheaper version of the PM9). I chose the diamond back because it was a little bit smaller and that's what I was mainly looking for. It basically looks like a tiny glock and breaks down like one too. Check it out Diamondback DB9

Not Sure What To Think Of This...
I thought it was the low pro version of the pluton/ryoga?

New Daiwa T3 Baitcaster
It's a shame that they quit making the Sols, Fuegos, and Viento's. Those were solid reels at around the price point I like. Does anyone know why they did away with them? Now most of there reels are in the 100 dollar range or jump up to the 300 dollar and up range.

New Daiwa T3 Baitcaster
Has anyone seen this reel they are debuting at icast this week? It's definitely different but it catches my eye because it's the first reel I've seen in a while with a brand new concept behind it. Here's a link to it. Daiwa T3 Baitcaster

Copper Or Silver Mirror Lenses
I've got both and wear the silver mirror the most. With the copper you can see just a tad deeper in the water but they don't block the sun quite as good as the silver. It just depends on which is more important. The silver probably penetrates the water the best out of the mirror lenses because like you said they are copper based. I would go with the silver because they are the best all around IMO and the copper don't allow you to see that much better into the water. Checkout the Brine and Rincon models. Hope this helps.

Costa Del Mar 580 Polycarbonate And Glass?
I've noticed some types of screens you can't see well with polarized glasses. For instance it's hard to read the digital screen at a gas pump with them on. I think that's with all polarized glasses though.

"a Guy's Gotta Get Lucky"
Nice Fish! If you fished tournaments on you local lakes would anyone even stand a chance?!

Dont Buy Costa Del Mar Sunglasses!
I would be ticked too if the polycarbonate lenses broke on me. I've only had the 580 glass lenses and had 2 pair crack from drops. I will just say they do break easy but clarity in the glass keeps me buying them. I've had friends who boycott them then later get another pair because they just couldn't find anything as good.

Crankbait Rod Help
Check out the Loomis 845 and 847. If you can catch them on sale you can get them at that price range. I've got the 843, 845, and 847 and love them. Catch a lot of smallies on the 845 as well. I'd look at the Cumara reaction series as mentioned above as well. I've never fished them but fish the cumara casting series and love those rods as well.

Bass Eating Plastics
The other day while fishing one of the bass I caught had a plastic worm sticking halfway out of his throat. It was only a plastic worm no hook. I unhooked my lure from him and pulled the worm out of his throat and let him go. Now I know for me anyways bass rarely take my entire plastic off the hook and eat it, but when they do, or if they just eat one off the bottom of the lake do they realize afterwards it was fake or do they believe they had a good meal? Also is it even possible for them to digest it or does it just stay in there stomach there entire life?

Heading To Florence, Al
I fished below the Pickwick Dam today and had a great day. We boated 5 or 6 smallies and around 40 largemouth. Almost all of them ranged from 2 to 2 1/2 lbs with a couple being right over 3. Caught them all out of 3 different spots. Where the shad were jumping the bass were stacked in there today. We caught majority of them on crankbaits, some top water, and some rage crawls, but I don't think it really mattered what you threw at them today. I've noticed my best 3 days on the river have been on over cast days. Did y'all have any luck below Wilson? It's been hit or miss lately. I went about a week ago when the flood water was high and only managed 1 fish.
