  1. ah yes, thanks. gonna hit 'em hard this season. 'smallie on opening weekend on lake st. clair
  2. i can do 2 hours -- standing -- in 1 spot as if i was there for 5 minutes. typical day, 6 hours. that's even without fish

  7. i lived in GA for a year. GA's bass fishing is open year 'round -- wish i knew and wish i was big into fishing then. back in MI now and i'm going nuts! so this weekend, buddy and i are going out to check if the crappies are up for a little fight
  8. I like night fishing. Can't see a thing you're doing, but your other senses are amp'd. Touch & hearing, especially. Hearing bass slurp up your topwater lures and smallies thrashing about like it's a 40" muskie ... it's great!
  9. southeast michigan -- has fishing season too. been targeting walleyes from the st. clair river -- no such luck. bummer... gonna check out if crappies are hot this weekend

  11. yeah, when the bite is slow, i settle for anything. most of the time, i'll panfish just to feel the action on my rod again.

  17. As of Wednesday, Lake Huron was frozen still. A lot of ice was drifting down the St. Clair River towards Lake Lake St. Clair. I wonder if all that floating ice just bunches up on the north end of Lake St. Clair???
  18. Let this be the first crankbait I've ever caught fish on then!
  19. I'm not patient for wacky. But I must say, a good friend of mine used a 6" Slug-Go wacky and a largemouth tore it up! Ferocious little beast.
  20. Gander Mountain had these Spro Fat Crank 20 on sale for $2.95 each. I picked up a couple. They had really good action in the water from my test. Have you used them? What are you thoughts on these crankbaits?
