Very nice so far, and I really like your cork work!!! Since you dont have it glued up yet, just some friendly advice, I would turn that reel seat around and put the threads towards the back.

I went the last 2 years and its one amazing event. It gets better and better every year. Its truely something that every builder or anyone thinking of building should experience. I was planning on going, but do to some uncontrolable circumstances I will not be attending this year.

Only time I use braid is in "HEAVY" cover when flipping/pitching. Other than that, I really dont like it. Braid is a love/hate thing, there doesnt seem to be any middle road. Only way to know for sure, is to buy a spool and try it out.

The Exceler's are very nice reels for the money!!!! I bought one for my nephew last year, and that kid is HARD on equipment, and its going strong for him. I would definitly say its a worth while product and wouldnt hesitate to reccomend or buy another one if needed.
