I need a rod under $150
buying a rod based on a popularity contest is never, ever a good idea.

TriggerX - $5
I fished them last night and caught 7 bass in 2 hrs. But might have done better with normal baits. Not questioning you guys , but why specifically don't you like them?

Sufix line
Its awesome stuff. Kinda stretchy, but worth it just for the low memory. It is really abrasion resistant. But it just has an unbelievable lack of memory. Using line butter, it comes of a baitcaster and just lays there, no coils.

TriggerX - $5
Is TriggerX changing their bait lineup, or going out of business, or what? They're $5 at Gander Mountain, so I got packs of the Bug and "Senko".

- Funny story. Thought I had my first trout EVER!
Creek chubs are tiny (at least in PA ;D)- Hmmm... Falcon reel?
Heres the link http://www.***.com/icast10.html?ccode=FVMSRD- YOUR Top 10 Artificials of All Time
If you could only have ten lures - the lures that in your opinion catch the most fish, what would you want?- Hmmm... Falcon reel?
Whats up with the Falcon spinning reel? Who do you think makes it?- I REALLY need help (picture included)
ok thanks for the help.- Funny story. Thought I had my first trout EVER!
Yeah, I agree with dan. Definitely a sucker or fallfish, i didn't realize how big it was (compared to the lizard). Here's a pic of a fallfish - http://www.paflyfish.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=1473- Funny story. Thought I had my first trout EVER!
looks like a chub to me- I REALLY need help (picture included)
Yes, I am fishing from shore. I was thinking about a carolina rig. I am pretty sure a jig won't work, due to the heavy, tall grass on the bottom.- I REALLY need help (picture included)
This is a local pond that holds some bass. I've recently been frustrated there, trying without success to catch bass. I will give some facts about it and see if y'all can help me catch some fish there. FORAGE: SMALL baitfish and bluegill. WATER: Actually appears quite deep, VERY clear, and air temps average about 90. COVER: Bottom has lots of vegetation, some fallen trees, rushes, and branches. No rocks. Access: Picture has labeled areas of greatest access, but there are lots of little spots in between. I've managed to catch some shallow on wacky senkos and spinnerbaits, but I think they might be gone deep with the hot temps. >- Fishin & music?
No, big bass like the Ramones. >- Spinning reel for around 150
Then you really don't know what other reels offer. I own several spinning reels from quite a few different manufacturers. The Stradic is a rock solid performer no question about it, but there are others that do a great job as well. Up to $100 just about anything in the Pflueger lineup performs very well. My personal favorite is a Soron 40 or cardinal 802 ( no difference in cardinal or soron ) the Soron is as smooth as the Stradic and the drag is every bit as good, both reels have been durable over time. It's really hard to pick a bad reel these days. Makes me wonder how people can give a review based on a few minutes handling them in a store or using their buddies to catch a few fish on. I bought a daiwa tierra about 6 weeks ago, reel has performed well but I can't give it a proper review until more hard fishing is done on it. I used to feel that only Shimano was acceptable. Then I got a Daiwa. Then I got a Pflueger. Then an Okuma. Haven't had a chance to evaluate durability on the Pflu or Okuma, but seem great so far. I think reels are kind of like how my dad describes trucks. "Nowdays, they're all good. Dodges have the best motors, Chevys have the best transmissions, Fords have the best fit and finish." Some reels have better drags, some better gears, but all will catch fish. Now Shimano and Daiwa still get MY vote, but.... ;D- bad news guys
I agree with brushhoggin. Get over it. I find it sad that some of you are making decisions about a stranger's character based upon capitalization or punctuation. That doesn't mean he is lazy. For all we know he has a better work ethic than any of us. :- Comfort zone on a new lake
X2 I actually enjoy fishing new lakes just because it's fun to find out where the bass are (or aren't, as the case may be ). I'm pretty new to bass fishing, but also enjoy fishing new lakes (more ponds for me). Its a challenge to find the bass and what they want.- So nothing from Daiwa?
I saw daiwa released saltiga ld's, not that bass fishermen care, but they look sick.- What Bass Resource staff is going to ICAST?
Sounds cool. Some links might help.- Small pond tips?
TABOO!!! From what i've seen on these forums, live bait is not widely used. Although i must admit that tecnique works great. ;D - Shimano vs. Abu Garcia
