  3. as the title states how long does a bass take to return to "normal"(i say normal very loosley and general) after a cold fornt. the was 85* and now around 76-77* we had a cold front yesterday and i had a tournament today and i got all screwed up. bass had lockjaw at my my spots. i only boated one bass to weigh in. im just wondering because grand prize tomorrow for another tournament on the same lake im fishing(yeah i know it sucks) is $1000. i want that $1000
  4. though the ugly stick isnt the most senstaive it will definantly catch fish. dont get disouraged it will be fine. the president is a very solid reel and will be a great reel. sounds like a nice solid setup that should work for you just fine

  6. when i fished yesterday the smallies loved anything electric blue or dark purple. there was an algae bloom so the water was pretty stained. it is really good in stained water
  7. your fine with a spin casting reel on a casting rod. a spinning reel is meant for a spinning rod. just get a rod for your diawa. get another ugly stick. they are only like $30. that setup will definantly get you going

  13. yeah they are. i hate when everybody here in NY calls it a carrot stick. i wouldnt be caught dead fishing a carrot stick. my excel blows the carrot stick out of the water
  14. depends....could be in my chair, on my dining room table, my garage, or on my deck or lawn. do it your self. no need for a line stripper when you have a drill and pencil or dowel
  15. it would have to be a toss up between my lamiglas excel 704C with a 6.4:1 Rick Clunn sig series reel with 15lb yozuri hybrid or my cheap walmart quantum tourament series rod(got it for $10 on sale) with a $30 gander mtn pro select reel with 6lb yozuri hydrid

  19. bps PQ are good reels for the money. they are always on sale for like $80
  20. i think rnt calls are good but most custom call makers i know make calls that blow every production call out there out of the water
  21. tried apple skoal once. wasnt a fan of the apple flavor and it did make me feel nausus but my face went numb and real calming effect on me. my buddy chews wintergreen griz and i might be tempted to try it again
  22. i can call but im not that good. i need to practice. i just have some cheap but good buck gardner polycarbonates and a custom acrylic short reed goose call. i worked off from one one my fishing partners. any of you guys want some nice calls look into Soco calls out of central square NY
  23. heck yeah i am. i got permission to hunt a a sand pit with lots of woods and swamps surrounding almost 360* around it and i cant wait to use my new martin bow
  24. x2. i can usually also look at the bill and get a very good idea of what depth they run at. i dont use specific boxes, i just throw them where they fit in my crankbait boxes
