An ugly stik would work fine, but I have taken a liking to the Berkley Lightning Rod Shock. It has a very slow tip and it works great for me and just over 50 bucks, it's a great deal.

I think its probably both. Some ponds I fish don't have crawfish, so the fish aren't aware of what they look like. All of the ponds either have bluegill or shad though, so I think this is what a crank imitates. A lot of it depends on where you are fishing. I also think that we give fish too much credit sometimes. I don't think they always know what they are eating. I have heard stories of people catching fish on empty hooks and as far as I know there isn't a creature that resembles a hook.

If you want to go medium light, BPS's Carbonlite is a pretty nice rod. It's 6'9" though

This statement reminds me of the Mike Iaconelli video with Glenn. In the video he says that if you learn to fun fish, you will most likely become a better fisherman. Maybe this had something to do with you catching fish (just a guess).

Not allowed to wear anything or use any weapons. You would probably have to win or the $200k wouldn't do you much good.

Saw this on another forum. It got pretty funny after all of the replies. You must fight it bare handed and naked. It is able to twist inside its own skin and bite whatever is holding it." they've killed a lion before, 1972---the badger ripped off the lions genitals. Video on youtube of it taking on a huge monitor lizard. They'll fight boars, and hyenas, snakes. The skin is very thick and loose and it's hard for animals to penetrate. A lot of times lions don't even bother with badgers and badgers have been known to chase off lions and steal their kill.

Sorry for the bad quality, but I couldn't seem to find my camera so I had to use a cell phone. It was my birthday yesterday, so I decided to get some fishing gear. Can't wait to use it.

I was in your same boat awhile ago, I wanted as many lures and baits as I could get my hands on because I thought it would make me a better fisherman (not saying this is you exactly). Well, turns out, it doesn't. Just spend some time with the baits you have and get really good with them and then you should start thinking about buying more. Having more lures will obviously increase your chances of catching fish in different situations, but don't get it in your head that you need a million different brands and types of lures to make yourself a good fisherman. If you do get more, here are some suggestions: Scum Frog Senko or Senko imitations Prop baits (Cotten Cordell seem to work for me) Zoom Baby Brush Hog and Brush Hog Strike King jigs with Super Chunk trailer Strike King lipless cranks Rattlin Spook and Zara Spook Puppy Booyah buzz bait with clacker

I was happy with Ohio State, but I didn't really expect anything less from them as they were playing a terrible Marshall team. I was not happy about UC losing to Fresno State though. I know they wouldn't be as good as they were last year, but losing to Fresno State is unacceptable.

Just went today and everything that was on sale was pretty much gone. I guess I waited to long to go. I did get a super spook jr. for two bucks though and some rage craws for around three bucks.
