This is something I haven't talk to anyone before, I have one spiraled on a SC II H, St. Croix blank built by David Green and I feel I can get faster in a fight and get fish out of the nasty easier with that rod vs with other with the same rating......... It is a dream to fish with anyway.....

My favorite for the big swimbaits . I have it for 2 years, fishing with him weekly and I just took it apart for clean and lube. Inside is like new.

That is very personal but may be this help you. 1) If you want to open a reel every time you have to change your settings and dig with your wet fingers in little caps, get the Curado. 2) If you want to comfortable and quickly do it by dialing a tiny wheel from the outside, get the Revo. Good luck

No necessarily. There are Japanese sellers that honor their reels warranty. Japan Tackle one of them. The warranty on most Daiwas is for a year, again factory defects, with a receive and to the original owner. If you get a reel from Ebay there is a good chance that the warranty is void. Quality reels rarely have manufacturer defects, most are due to use and mishandling, by them you are out of warranty, Daiwa will fix them but you have to pay for.

I sold mine this Spring. I never have a problem with it, I fish weekly, at least and I owned it for 2 years. It is voluminous and heavy. The cast control magnets fall off frequently when you remove the side plate and the cast control bottom is inaccurate. Cast and retrieve is otherwise OK.

I know nothing of the Shimanos but that Zillion is the best I've fish a deep crank with.

Many people like Hotsause......I don't. I use lithium grease ( Shimano ) and Shimano oil for every thing but spool support bearing. For them Yellow TG Rocket Fuel.

You apply grease to the gears and oil to any other moving part( 1 drop at the time ). Grease once or twice a year when you clean your reels. Oil, more often, at the spool support bearing, knobs and worm shaft.

True, specially if you are using braid like I do.

I have a chance to clean one for a friend, it cast very nice and retrieve smooth and feels solid. I didn't noted any parts suspicious for bad quality or plastic but the reel was 6-8 month old. The look remained me my Alpha.
