baitcaster and braided line
Avid has said it all. I prefer Sufix 50 in my baitcasters, a fellow in this site named Dodgeguy talked me into a try and since then no more PowerPro for me. Always backing with mono and almost alway ( I don't like it with Frogs ) a leader, mono or fluoro. I tie my leaders with uni-uni + superglue, it works for me

Thanks ReelMech
It is a privilege to know someone like him. RM did all my reels this year, total of 13, every one of them came back better than new.

Revo S or SX ?
Absolutely........my #1 reason not to have most Shimanos

Gamma Copolymer Fishing Line
I just started using 10 lbs for shallow crankbaits, so far I like it

Anyone ever order anything from Japan Tackle?
You will love it.....My Alpha is my smoother reel, much more than my TD-Zs and Scorpion.

More bearings the better?
The Shimano fans will say no. So why the Calais and Calcuta TE have more than 10 each ?
-
Tom Monsoor's Swim Jig?
I use them a lot, I put a 4" grub as trailer and just reel it in at slow speed. Great in top of grass.

Whats a good drop shot set up??
GLoomis DSR822s with Energy PTi.

Braid?
I also moved from PP to Sufix braid and I'm not coming back

p-line halo ???
I'm using it for jerkbait in 12 lbs, make then run deeper than regular P-Line fluoro and is very strong, no memory. It is not spinning reel friendly, get nets very easy.

Ice out and Silver Buddys
I ran out of Silver Buddies but I have been using this Cicada that BPS also sells and doing good with them, the hooks are horrible but I use to change the ones on the Buddy anyway. A feather treble hook works well on them.

hook sharpners
I use a Rapala for a couple of years now, no problems

What is your crankbait set up?
Custom Seeker 706 in e-glass with a Tica 5.1:1 and CX 12 lbs for deep cranking. LC Moosault and CB, Rapala DT and Shad Rad and Norman 22. For shallow cranking I like graphite and one of the best out there is the Helium LTA ML. I use a Daiwa Alpha F with 10 lbs Gamma for now, probably Evolution is my next move. Lures, Griffon MR is hard to bit, Cyclone and the new LC GDS

Yo-zuri 8lb and jerkbaits
8 lbs for LM fishing in a BC?????, not around here. I use CX 12 lbs for most of my jerking needs, in a few spots that the fish I think will be deeper I switch to 12 lbs Halo.
-
Braid to mono connections
I do uni-uni + superglue I don't have mayor problems.
-
mono and crankbaits
I use P-Line CX most of the time except in those rare occasions that I want to go really deep, them I switch to fluoro.
-
Cork Sealant
All mine have U40
-
P-Line Halo
I just started testing the Halo, so far OK in a BC but it is not at all spinning friendly.

Jig rod/reel
The Cardiff is a battle horse, very light and trouble free. I use the 301 for big swimbaits and is great but it is not the reel I will choose to pitch light jigs. The Quantum Accurist PT does it for me. My partner love the Procasters for light lures, he just got the Rojo and is like a kid with new toy with it. The Advantage is also another consideration, it was made to cast light weight lures, a few guys in my club is all they use.
