  1. Avid has said it all. I prefer Sufix 50 in my baitcasters, a fellow in this site named Dodgeguy talked me into a try and since then no more PowerPro for me. Always backing with mono and almost alway ( I don't like it with Frogs ) a leader, mono or fluoro. I tie my leaders with uni-uni + superglue, it works for me
  2. All my reels are very insensitive :
  3. It is a privilege to know someone like him. RM did all my reels this year, total of 13, every one of them came back better than new.
  4. My best 1) LC Slender 112 in Aurora Black. 2) X-Rap #8 in Hot Steel 3) Super Rogue Jr in clawn
  5. Absolutely........my #1 reason not to have most Shimanos
  6. I just started using 10 lbs for shallow crankbaits, so far I like it
  7. You will love it.....My Alpha is my smoother reel, much more than my TD-Zs and Scorpion.
  8. The Shimano fans will say no. So why the Calais and Calcuta TE have more than 10 each ?
  9. I use them a lot, I put a 4" grub as trailer and just reel it in at slow speed. Great in top of grass.
  10. GLoomis DSR822s with Energy PTi.
  11. I also moved from PP to Sufix braid and I'm not coming back
  12. I'm using it for jerkbait in 12 lbs, make then run deeper than regular P-Line fluoro and is very strong, no memory. It is not spinning reel friendly, get nets very easy.
  13. I read about problems with zillion gonna stick with Shimano Where ? What problems?

    Yo-Zuri Hardcore Drum holo. shad
  15. I ran out of Silver Buddies but I have been using this Cicada that BPS also sells and doing good with them, the hooks are horrible but I use to change the ones on the Buddy anyway. A feather treble hook works well on them.
  16. I use a Rapala for a couple of years now, no problems
  17. Custom Seeker 706 in e-glass with a Tica 5.1:1 and CX 12 lbs for deep cranking. LC Moosault and CB, Rapala DT and Shad Rad and Norman 22. For shallow cranking I like graphite and one of the best out there is the Helium LTA ML. I use a Daiwa Alpha F with 10 lbs Gamma for now, probably Evolution is my next move. Lures, Griffon MR is hard to bit, Cyclone and the new LC GDS
  18. 8 lbs for LM fishing in a BC?????, not around here. I use CX 12 lbs for most of my jerking needs, in a few spots that the fish I think will be deeper I switch to 12 lbs Halo.
  19. I do uni-uni + superglue I don't have mayor problems.
  20. I use P-Line CX most of the time except in those rare occasions that I want to go really deep, them I switch to fluoro.
  21. I just started testing the Halo, so far OK in a BC but it is not at all spinning friendly.
  22. He don't......Never heard of it. Great answer ;D ;D ;D ;D
  23. The Cardiff is a battle horse, very light and trouble free. I use the 301 for big swimbaits and is great but it is not the reel I will choose to pitch light jigs. The Quantum Accurist PT does it for me. My partner love the Procasters for light lures, he just got the Rojo and is like a kid with new toy with it. The Advantage is also another consideration, it was made to cast light weight lures, a few guys in my club is all they use.
