  1. I just checked the 6 rods I use braid on, Airrus,GL2, 3 IMXs and a GLX....not a mark.
  2. I have the DSR822s, it is just perfect.
  3. He worked on 2 Energy 861, Tour, 2 Accurist, 3 Energy PTi, Catalyst PTi, 3 TD-Z and a Cardiff for me, they all came back superb!!!!! The TD-Z BB and the Cardiff gained 4 lbs drag weight with new washers.
  4. I posted that information about IPT 's .... it must be around page 177 : The IPT in the Scorpion 1000/1001, Scorpion 1000/1001 Mg is 25". Sorry I didn't know it was posted before. Thanks a lot..........
  5. One of my best lures this fall, thanks to Brad, who sent it to me. Best T-rig with 1/8 slider head hook pitch to cover and slow drag and jerks
  6. Good tip Avid, Thanks, I'm going to try ASA the ice allow me. This is a lure that frustrate me a lot, I can see the potential but I only got pickerels with them weightless.
  7. I have an Extreme 6.0 M that I like a lot, relatively light and a very confortable handle, I use it primarily for shore fishing. I also have a similar Pro-Qualifier that I think is HORRIBLE!!!!!, completely different from the Extreme and more expensive.
  8. I have 5 of those TiMAG II & III titanium magnetic bail system reels with a " weird " life time warranty bail, all have been fished intensively over the past 2 years, no one complain yet.
  9. With jerkbaits, the big advantage that I see in fluoro is that sinks so allow your lures to run deeper if you need to. I'm not sure that you need extra sensitivity with any treble hook lure and a bit of stretch may even be beneficial. Most of mine jerkbait fishing is done with spinning gear, I carry 2 spools, P-Line CX that is a flouro coated copolymer ( floats ) and P-Line Fluoro ( now Halo ). I alternate them according to water depth and fish location.
  10. Like Alpsters and Dodgeguy said, minimum 50 in a BC, I favor Sufix as well.
  11. I have the same idea and I think it is the ideal reel for a dedicated frog set. I just got it 2 weeks ago and it went straight to my frog rod, Custom Rogue 706 H. I haven't fish with it yet but it cast very, very smooth. The drag is rated at 11 lbs, heavier that my former frog reel, TD-Z 105H but I never have a complain with that one's drag anyway. It will be getting Carbontex drag washers in his first trip to Reelmech. Good luck with your Zillion, I can wait to use mine but my lakes are frozen too. :'(
  12. I guess I have been lucky....I never have a complain with my TD-Zs... ;D
  13. Raul, do you know the IPT of the Scorpions, 1000 and MG ? Thanks. Nice job Bugman
  14. Now, that's funny! They hold up pretty well if you don't use them! : I love it, pure realism ;D
  15. Agree a 100 %. I have an Ultra XL and a Co-Matirx and I have been bitten the hell out of them for 2 years fishing heavy cover most of the time, they stand the heat, light, sensitive, confortable and pretty. I broke one of the guides in my Ultra XL ( probably my fault ), 5 days later I have a brand new one at my front door, absolutely no charge......this is a company that care for their customers, needless to say I have a Puls-Ar pre-ordered.
  16. Like he said. I used PP for years w/o any problems. In 25 lbs???????....most be new b/c I've never heard of it.
  17. Same here, I haven't fished with mine yet but it casts better & easier than most of my reels.
  18. I have been using a Cardiff 301 for over a year now w/o complains, I have to say it is lighter than the Calcuta. The rod is probably just OK for the Mattluers BB but thats about it, if you are planning to grow with swimbaits you will need a real SB rods. I like Okumas, Shimano Crucial and Daiwa L & T.
  19. I go with GLoomis too but I also like Kistler, Rogue and Okuma
  20. I use 2; IMX MBR 844 and Airrus Ultra XL 7.0 MH. I love those Rogue too, my frog rod has a Rogue 706 black....sweet
