  1. Yes 2.5” tubes are finesse.
  2. Zoom worms are confusing as to which float and sink. Luckily it doesn’t really matter. They both catch fish.
  3. Looking forward to finesse Fishing the 13 Fishing Ultra Thin Joy Stick worm. $1 at the discount store and I bought lots of them. Also gonna fish the Craw Worm (more of a craw but has the name worm) from Big Bite Baits more…caught one of my biggest largies to date on one and got away from them. Bought some Berkley Powerbait Fatty Bottom Hoppers on sale…cut them down for neds or Texas rig ‘em should work Gonna try a chartreuse disk worm in the spring Never used the floating worm technique much…will try that in the spring
  4. I too got sick of paying to wrap the boat every year. I decided to buy an expensive $500 (on sale) “marine grade acrylic” boat cover from Cover Craft. It seems thick and well made. I also wasn’t sure if I wanted polyester or acrylic. I saw somewhere polyester is stronger but won’t last as long as the acrylic. I highly recommend this boat support pole system to go with the cover. First year using the cover and support, all seems fine.
  5. Anyone know if this bait is like the Berkley Gilly?
  6. Walmart: $1 Rattlin’ Rage Craws in green pumpkin and summer craw in my local Walmart. Wasn’t marked on end cap display but scanned in app and jackpot! Weird black/blue and junebug were not on clearance. I guess if you know your local Walmart and something seems to not supposed to be on shelf, scan it! Also had $2.50 black/blue 5” senkos marked on shelf
  7. You’re absolutely right. Just to throw something random at them prespawn-fall. I feel like a lot of techniques would catch the same fish at certain times. Like a split shot rig may catch the same drop shot or neko fish. Jika, Tokyo, free rig may catch the same fish as Texas rigged plastics. Power fishing in the mornings and evenings is what I usually do and stick to finesse during the day mostly. Problem is I like my sleep and never get out early! 😂
  8. Which are awesome! I’ve caught fish on the Sinker Stick and Kicker tail worm. The stick bait sinks fast and is heavy with good waggle. I’ve heard somewhere Netbait made the plastics. JT Kenny was pushing them at one point.
  9. In order for me to try new baits, techniques, and just have fun messing around, I made a roulette wheel of decisions. I’m the type of guy that has a few baits tied on and barely ever change lures on the water. My plan this year is to force myself to fish a particular bait for a set amount of time and spin the wheel to try something different or new. Am I missing anything? I know some people say to just rig up one rod and have one bait and master that for the day, but I like to be more of jack of all trades and master of none I suppose.
  10. Could you recommend wire size? Thanks!
  11. Check out 13 Fishing Ultra Thin Joystick worm at discount tackle. They’re on sale $5 for 6 packs or $1 a pack. The 4.5” are ultra thin and if you wanted a straight worm I would just pinch off the kicker legs. 5.5” ones are thickness of say a finesse worm. The 4.5” is like the thickness of 4” Berkley Power Worm.
  12. Anyone receive the $20 credit yet? I sent an email Friday but I’m assuming a real life representative has to approve the credit. Weird how they make it work.
  13. Scoundrels if I am not mistaken are round body. Trick worms have a flat bottom. With the flat bottom I’ve heard you get more of a gliding motion. Does it make a difference? Who knows
  14. Did the Strike King one have a solid head? I’d think that’ll be the hardest to replace. I guess you could just throw a 1/4” stick worm piece up the tube need be
  15. With a Senko style bait, will it let you fish it quicker effectively? ?
  16. Wacky dinger for the win!
  17. Southern Maine here. Find laydowns off points. Deeper lillypads off islands/points. Shaded cover in the form of overhangs, docks, etc have all been working for me.

What weights? I like hula grubs on 1/4-3/4oz heads
  20. I always treated it like a hook slot like a fluke and rigged it as such. Just keep rotating position- it’s fine
  21. D-Shad is a Yamamoto fluke style bait. Keel weight is this hook:
  22. OP is asking about jerkbaits. Skinny dipper is a Swimbait. AFAIK the Strike King Caffeine Shad and Yamamoto D-Shad are the heaviest, saltiest soft jerkbaits.
  23. A small Swimbait is finesse ?
  24. No mention of what shakey head. They’re not all created equal And worm? I’ve also heard reports of Walmart Seaguar line being terrible, doing the same thing you have issues with. To be clear: it was the cheap Seaguar line
  25. Strong enough rod? ewg hook?
