  1. Welcome to the jig addiction.
  2. I have failed. Went out to shott some video .... Got to the lake and I left the memory card in my computer. > It will have to wait until next time as I am pretty busy after today.
  3. Crap, I forgot about this. I am going to go get some video footage right now of what I was going to get you for the last one. I finally negotiated a contract with his manager. Expect a a guest appearance in this video (if he hasn't already made it). He is not a member, but he is on whenever I am on and an avid fisherman.
  4. A similar thing happened here in a tiny community lake down the street from my house about 10 years ago.
  5. The Tierra baitcaster is out. I played around with it a bit at BPS the other day. First impression was a TDA in a new skin. Not a bad thing. I've only had my two TDA's a couple months and was real disappointed with the news/rumors they were being phased out. SOLID real for a great price. Also, I thought the blue was a little more suttle in person.
  6. Yup.lol,...I stand corrected I am still waiting on mine. I still don't think I've caught anything over 4 on top :-/. Not going to stop me from trying though. Just too much fun!!!!!!
  7. What a big dumb bass!!!!! I thought they weren't suppose to fall for topwater lures?!?!?!?! (I think it was you that shared the same opinion on bigger bass and topwater lures) On a jitterbug none the less. Probably one of my favorite all time lures Couple of beauties
  8. Yep me too : Although I have gotten away from that. I now usually refer to them as some expletive. Just pains in a.. that bite baits they have no business biting :
  9. I believe that you may get the wrong impression from most of the Southern & Western fishermen. Most of us have the utmost respect for all fishermen from around the globe and the skill they have in catching bass. There are Great fishermen everywhere and in some regions it takes just as much, if not more skill to boat 6 lb -7 lb bass on a regular basis. I for one Salute all of you for setting goals and doing your best to reach them. This isn't a big bass contest. It is a place where fellowship and a common love for fishing brings us all together to share. Again, Great Job to All & God Bless, Dave Very true I mean, some of you southern boys that post these 7,8,9 lbers. I'm like, "pshhh You call that a fish?!?!" Not even 10 lbs ;D ;D ;D just joking of course That's the great thing about fishing. It's all relative. From person to person. Region to region. Lake to lake
  10. I don't know about that ..... although it's not hard I find it to be a pain. I used to do it in high school because it was "manly". Now I take it to a family owned business that my family has been taking cars to for 3 generations now. $15 .... a great deal IMO (and every 8th one is free)
  11. Welcome back!!! ;D ;D That first pic and the title. Took me a while. There is the mule and where is the .....? Oh there he is ;D ;D ;D
  12. Healthy lookn' bass!!!! I thought you said somehing about your lake dying a few months ago?
  13. ring fry ...... you might enjoy this. I used to work at Milburn Country Club. They had their own firework show so I know how much of a pain it can be at the course on the 4th. Everyone basically was at the club all day whether it was at the pool or playing golf. Easily the busiest day of the year. Then about 5:00 everyone would start to get to their spots on the course ...... WHILE PEOPLE ARE STILL PLAYING. So that was always fun to go tell people to get off the course :. Then once they got off the course they usually hung around in front of the Pro Shop ......... right where all the golf cart traffic is :. Anyways, they set the fireworks off from the range. The next morning one of the grounds crew was mowing the range and he mowed over a firework that never went off :o Talk about a BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't exactly remember what happened but I remember the mower flipping over and if I remember correctly the ground crew member had to go to the ER. I surprised you let them set them off from a tee box. Don't they have to dig a bunch of holes??
  14. Yeah .... Where you going? I used to spend about a month a summer in Estes Park
  15. $2.86 in Kansas City ...... A BARGAIN
  16. Muddy_Man let the cat out of the bag earlier this week .... but I have a date with her tonight. I'll let you guys know how it goes. : Go to the bottom of this section. There are some posts there that should answer your questions.
  17. Anybody fished both the Revo and a Daiwa Advantage?? They "look" soooooooooo similar
  18. Easter 2006 I am cruising down I-35 ( a pretty busy highway in a populated area) at 70 mph in the far left lane. All of a sudden the truck starts jumping. Kind of feels like a spark plug wire came undone or something. It definitely feels like something is mechanically wrong with the truck. So I start to make my way over to the right shoulder (3 lanes over) and just as I start to switch lanes I see the trailer starting to swerve severely. Then SHE BREAKS loose and the sparks are FLYING!!!!!!!!!!! After what felt like an eternity I somehow manage to get to the shoulder with the trailer still in tow. Had to slow down very very very slowly so the trailer didn't ram the back of my dad's truck. Some how I got that accomplished with no damage. Just some very scary moments!!!! Something very bad could have happened. In the end I am not sure what happened. I am not sure if the hitch lock broke, or I forgot to lock it........ I don't know. Thank God for safety chains. USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Called Dad. He brought me out a new hitch lock and I was out on the water in less than an hour.
  19. That's great!!!!! ;D ;D
  20. 6-8 ..... and like 4bizz said "for now" I really want to break the 7 lbs mark.
  21. I fish small public waters Thank you
  22. Huge bass no doubt .... but claiming WR would be a stretch IMO
