Yeah, yeah, yeah..... I hear this same kind of belly aching every year, yet about July the "I can't wait until football season starts" posts start popping up. Then, there are a half a dozen threads about various football-related topics every week of the season. The league is stuck between a rock and a hard place. The over-sensitive media is on them to make the game safer, while the fans are on them to keep the game exciting. But, whatever rule changes they make, we all know that come Fall, we're going to tune in until they make it two-hand touch!

I'm a Duke fan, but rarely pick them to win it all. However, this year is an exception. Duke is undefeated with Ryan Kelly, and he, along with the two other super-star seniors, give Duke the edge on experience and leadership. They understand what they have to do to win it. They understand what it means, not only for them, but for the program. And, this is their last shot. So, I'm going with Duke, and hoping I'm right!

I was lumping every "running" qb that has come into the league in the past decade or two, that ESPN has promised us would take the league by storm. That style of play has been entertaining, but hasn't produced a championship. Yeah, Marino never won the Super Bowl, but his style of qb wins them about every other year.

You're right, Teal. They might do something. But, any time you get a mobile qb, ESPN over-hypes them. It seems to be the pattern that they have an awesome year or two, then slip into mediocrity. I hope this latest batch will be different. They sure are exciting to watch!

Cam, Kap, Wilson, RG3, Vince Young, Michael Vick, McNabb..... They're all the same quarterback. Great for the highlight reel; No championships.

I've done the workouts a lot, but never followed the program's suggested 60-day order. But, I got tired of skipping around, and started the "program" this week. It's hard, but it keeps you in shape! If you can do the "Pure Cardio" without slacking or taking an extra break, you're a BEAST. I have to hit "pause" every time I do that one.

Busy, have you started the "convict conditioning" yet? If so, how do you like it?

Cro$$fit is a little less budget friendly than some of the other programs. From where I live, the nearest gym that teaches their classes is 45 minutes away, and with a FD discount it's still $85 a month. I'd love to do it, but can't justify the time or cost. I bought P90X off of ebay a few years ago for $50, and a couple in the church gave me Insanity a while back, when they found that they couldn't do it. I can do both programs in my livingroom, so the time it saves is very valuable. Any of these things will work, if we'll put in the work. But, I have to admit, I have a little *** (and a lot of respect) for the folks who are able to do Crossfit!

I've done P90X and am currently doing Insanity (to break up the monotony). They're both good programs, as I'm sure P90X2 and Asylum are. But, the key isn't the super-fit guy on TV who's telling you what to do. The key is the guy with love-handles standing in your livingroom. Stick with it!

What's a charger? Is it in the 10/22 family?

The pistol looks like a P95, but what is the other gun? Is it a souped up 10/22?

Beloved Patriots? They're probably the 2nd most hated team in the NFL (right after the Cowboys). The man gave up some money to help his team. Can't knock that.

My wife and I caught it, and had a five minute conversation about the probably media fallout over it because of the way they like to blow everything out of proportion. I agree with you, I think his intentions were great, but it came across wierd. Thankfully it's not the top story on ESPN this morning!

Seldom exceeds 30-35K?! I bought my wife a '00 Chevy Cavalier in '03 that had been totaled and rebuilt. It only had 38K on the odometer and I was shocked. I didn't know they made cars with less than 150K!
