  1. Hopefully just a glitch in the system caused by the Baitmonkey (he wants us to buy new reels). Reelmech is a HUGE asset here on BR.
  2. You better ice down that shoulder!
  3. I always enjoy reading his posts (very knowledgable), but haven't seen him on here in a while.
  4. ;)My wife used this one on me about 8 years ago: "Hey, you wanna go to a pig pickin'" If I didn't have Eastern NC roots, I wouldn't have know how to answer. Thankfully, I love BBQ!
  5. Avid's right. Thatt's what it's all about. I still remember catching my first bass with my dad, something I'll never forget.
  6. So, which was more exciting? Catching the two fish or the boat ride?
  7. I hate to hear this Muddy. I love your sense of humor, and great bass fishing insight (well, one out of two ain't bad ). You're a veteran here at BR and know how things work. The troublemakers come and usually go very shortly. Common sense normally runs them off. Anyway, hope you're back with us soon.
  8. Come on frog, by the time you figure out how to post pics on here the Internet will be outdated. Just tell us. What'd she give you? Better yet, what could you have possibly given her for putting up with your fishing addiction for 35 years? ;D
  9. So, what was the total? 1 or 2 million?
  10. Go Cowboys!!!
  11. I accidently hooked a duck at night a few years back. I don't know who was scared more, the duck or me. I know I had hooked him, and he started squawking and flapping and flying off. That scared me. But then my line started stripping off my reel. That got me excited. At first I thought I had a nice bass...but realized that it was the duck pulling the line off. I didn't know what to do, so in panic I tried to bite the line. I found out that biting line dosn't work very well when it's screaming off the reel :-/ Some how or the other my line tightened up and broke (right at the bait). I was using a torpedo, so, I guess you could say I torpedoed a duck :-?
  12. Was Suggs eligable for the Ranger bonus? If so, I believe he would have won 2 million
  13. Welcome to the forum! I don't have any suggestions for your resume, but there are some intelligent guys on here that will offer great advice.

Avid, it sounds like you have a great family. No shame in being proud of that! BTW, nice suit!
  15. That's great news!!! Two more homeruns and then we won't have to hear about him for a while.
  16. ;D ;D ;D I'd love to see that! ;D ;D ;D
  17. I can use #1 if I ever fall asleep in my office! Thanks frog ;D
  18. I believe Thrift is a NC guy, so I hope he can pull it off. BTW, do the weights 0 after day two? How about after day 3?

His name's right on the tip of my tongue but I just can't get it out. However, I do believe I know his cousin. You know, the guy who shows up to the lake to go fishing and forgets his regular shirts so has to wear his tournament jersey (which just happens to be in the back of his truck). Then, while out on the water gets challenged to a tournament by two local rednecks and cleans their clock by catching a 78 lb. limit which included a 24-8 kicker, but turns down the prize money because he's already got so much "spocier" money.
  21. I saw on the other thread that Edbassmaster has taken a break from BR. I hope these valuable members will come back. Feels like part of the family is missing.
  22. I'm pulling for Jay Yelas. He seems like a classy guy.
  23. Welcome from a fellow Carolinian (East Coaster)
  24. ;D ;D ;D That's pretty good! I don't care whether he did it or not, he's done so much dumb (and illegal) stuff I have lost all respect for Ron Mexoco...I, I mean Mr. Vick. ;D
  25. Thanks Glenn!
