Derek Remitz (a rookie) won it. That's good, he'll be able to fish a little more comfortably now, without having to worry so much about finances. IKE was 2nd, KVD 5th.
  2. Congratulations! You know that means you have to share your winnings with your BR brothers now ;D
  3. I think it refers to that cursed yellow fruit. I teach the folks at Church that the fruit Adam and Eve weren't permitted to eat in the Garden of Eden was a b-a-n-a-n-n-a (They do know I'm just joking)
  4. Congratulations Frogtog! Does this mean that there's going to be a third generation bass angler taking money from everyone on the Roanoke?
  5. RR, Thanks for the PM. I felt bad, but thanks for putting up with my quick typing, slow thinking.
  6. Sorry RR, I wasn't trying to single you out, and I just reread your post and saw you were just asking a question about him winning anything. As for the AOY, I think it was in 2004.
  7. We're praying for you Jim and Sherry. I can't imagine what you're going through, as I don't have any children yet. However, you have a Heavenly Father who knows exactly what it's like to have a child die. I hope He can bring you comfort.
  8. ;D ;D ;D A conspiracy theory? ;D ;D ;D That's a good one!!! ;D ;D ;D I agree with the majority of folks who realize that Swindle did something wrong (including Swindle himself). However, I get a chuckle when I read someone say that he's a lousy angler just because he's never won an event. He won the AOY for crying out loud! He's never won a BASS tour level event, but he is consistantly good. I hate that he did something so crazy.
  9. Ok, I'll be the first one to ask the obvious question: Who? Who is Boyd Duckett? Oh yea, that's right, he's the 2007 Bassmaster Classic Champion. Aside from that, I'd never heard of him. But, I'm glad he won it in his home state.
  10. Wow, he's good. Is it his?
  11. Replica, Where do you click to see it? I've clicked on a link at the bottom that tells me to download Micromedia Flash Player 8, but nothing happened.
  12. Can someone give me a link to the video. I followed the link from "that other site," but it didn't work.
  13. Does this mean that I have to change my name? ;D
  14. I've been reading you guys talking about those stupid $15 Lucky Craft crankbaits like they are the best things since sliced bread for over a year. Well, last week I made a trip to BPS to spend some rewards points, and finally broke down and bought one. I went out to a local pond today just to see how it (and another bait) worked, but not expecting to catch anything. Well, if you've ever thrown a LC you know what happened. I'm sold $15 is a bargain ;D
  15. Is that a sport in the US? I thought that was just a Canadian thing ;D Just kidding, I watched the Carolina Hurricanes win the Stanley Cup last year. All of us Carolina, Duke, and State fans hopped on the hockey banwaggon to pull for the Canes. But, it's ACC basketball time now!
  16. I happened to be riding in the car in time to catch the first couple of segments of a regional sports show for North and South Carolina this afternoon. I expected to hear the guys talking about yesterday's Super Bowl, but I guess I forgot for a minute where I live. I live in the middle of ACC country! The first 20 minutes of the show were about ACC basketball, with the exception of about a minute of ACC football talk and a minute of saying, "We'll get to the Super Bowl later." The three most talked about topics were: 1. NC State beating Carolina 2. Florida State beating Duke 3. Wednesday's Duke vs. Carolina game I enjoyed the Super Bowl, but I'm glad it's over with. Now it's all ACC basketball until April! I love living in North Carolina.
  17. Alright, all of the hoop-la is about over. There's about three hours until kickoff. Who's going to win? Who you pulling for? I'm pulling for Payton Manning and the Colts because I'm tired of hearing all of the Dan Marino comparisons. I think the Colts will win too.
  18. My wife and I used to lock ourselves out all the time. Then, a wise old man showed me a "trick." We haven't locked ourselves out since! I leave on key in the ignition at all times. The other stays on my keychain, in my pocket, only to come out when I unlock the door, then goes right back in my pocket. Simple, cheap, and it works.
  19. Just registered! Thanks for the link! Man, I'll kind of miss talking to all my friends from India Oh well, I'll have to catch up with them on Tech Support
  20. I live about half an hour from Ahoskie and Winton, so this stuff has been all over our local news. I love it! On top of that, we have a guy in the Church from Ahoski, and PETA came by his house (when he wasn't there), went in his dog pen, took his dog house out and replaced it with a new house with straw in it. I think he said they also left a bag of food. After PETA came by a few times and messed with his stuff (without permission), he called them up and talked to them in a way that his preacher probably didn't hear the "whole story."
  21. I'VE NOTICED THAT A FEW GUYS ALWAYS POST IN ALL "CAPS" ALL THE TIME. I HAVE THREE THEORIES AS TO WHY THIS IS: 1. THEY ARE ALWAYS ANGRY. I REMEMBER READING SOMEWHERE, SOMETIME, THAT WRITING IN ALL "CAPS" IS THE INTERNET EQUIVALENCY OF SHOUTING AT SOMEONE. 2. THEY WANT TO MAKE SURE I READ WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY. I GUESS IT'S A PERSONAL FEDISH, BUT I DO ALWAYS READ WHAT'S WRITTEN IN BIG LETTERS. 3. THEY HAVE ACCIDENTLY HIT THE "CAPS LOCK" BUTTON ON THEIR COMPUTER AND DON'T KNOW IT (KIND OF LIKE THE FOLKS I OFTEN GET BEHIND ON COUNTRY ROADS WHO RIDE FOR MILES AND MILES WITH THEIR SIGNAL LIGHTS UNKNOWINGLY BLINKING, BUT HAVE NO INTENTION OF EVER GETTING OUT OF MY WAY!!!). MY BET IS ON THEORY #3. YOU ALL "CAPS" GUYS KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHY YOU DO WHAT YOU DO, SO COME ON AND FESS UP, YOU ARE THE SAME PEOPLE WHO DRIVE WITH YOUR SIGNAL LIGHTS ON FOR MILES AND MILES WITH NO INTENTION OF EVER TURNING. ;D
  22. I just got back from my longest run since 1997 (at least my longest without taking a walking break). I ran 3.2 miles!!! I ran a 5k (3.1) back in October, but today I ran an extra .1. Not quite a marathon, but I'm losing some gut!
