    2-2 OBVIOUSLY isn't that bad ;D
  2. I ran in High School (Track and CC) but got out of it and got fat. A buddy asked me to run a 5k with him back in October, so we trained for a month and a half and did it. We took a few weeks off for Christmas and are now training for another 5k in March. I'm at about 15 miles a week right now.
  3. Have you ever fished in any of the smaller tournaments? If you're looking to just hop in a boat and go fish the BASS or FLW tours, it dosn't exactly work like that. You have to work your way up throgh the ranks. The most important thing is that you've got to be able to catch five keepers anywhere, anytime, and under any conditions. Good luck. I wish you well.
  4. Hey LBH, I remembered my camera, but it's a part of my cell phone. I'm not sure how to get them from the phone to a piece of paper. Anyone got any suggestions. Also, I'd like to learn how to get them from the phone to the computer. Any help will be appriciated. I've got pictures of my four biggest bass on my phone and I ain't smart enough to do anything with them :-/
  5. I was riding around with a guy from the Church yesterday visiting some folks, and he asked me if I wanted to stop by his pond and catch a bass. (Fishers of men have to take a break every once in a while and catch a few bass ) We were there about half an hour and he was up 3-1 (all about 1.5-2 pounders). Then the Lord decided to start my year off right. I caught an 8 pounder (8 even)!!! It was my second biggest bass ever! Anyway, that was all the action for yesterday. Earlier today my dad and I ran out to the same pond for a few minutes and I caught two. One was about 1.5. The other was 5-10!!! I'm loving 2007 so far! Happy New Year everyone!
  6. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ; You are joking, right? If not, get on the next plane that leaves from Canada and is headed to the Middle East and say ignorant things like you just posted. You'll probably change your mind. You don't have to like our president. You don't have to like our country. But comparing the leader of our country the world's most evil terrorist and a mass-murderer, come on, that's crazy. I hope you were just joking!
  7. NBC just came on and announced that he was executed but they wern't going to show it. I thought that since they wern't going to show it, I would give a smiley rendition of it. First, the execution Then, the response from anyone with a lick of sense And of course, the response from the folks. > But, in the end, they will be with Saddam

Welcome Ashley! This is a great site for young anglers like yourself. It's clean and full of good information. You'll learn a lot!
  9. I think it's either 100 or 250 posts, but if you read the FAQ's that Glen has at the top of the sections you can find out for sure.
  10. :'( I know you had a great time!
  11. Fluke, Thanks for the advice. I am using a friend's Zeiss binoculars with a shoulder strap, and they work great. I'm just not a mature enough hunter to not shoot a buck that has antlers outside of his ears I'm not good at aging them yet, but I've learned some important lessons from my mistakes, and I have some good, helpful, very successful friends that are schooling me. You're right about the binocs, they're the most important piece of equipment I take with me. I'd rather take them and leave my rifle at home. At least I'd see something!
  12. Hey Fla, I live in Eastern NC, about a 15 min. from the ECU campus, and my wife is taking graduate classes there. I wish I could get down to Alabama to see the game, and I hope you have a great time watching ECU beat USF ;D
  13. First and foremost, welcome to the greatest site on the web! I've killed a couple of 8-pointers (one right descent one and one mistake :-[) and a really wide 6-pointer (another mistake >). I'm trying to "trophy" hunt, but I'm new at it and have made a few mistakes this year. Yesterday I went after a couple of does for meat, but accidently shot a button-buck along with an older doe. (The button-buck was yet another mistake :'(). But, I've had a good time learning from all of my mistakes ;D. What have you killed?
  14. When this question was first posted, I responded by saying I thoght it was subjective. Three pages and 43 posts later I'm convinced that it is subjective! ;D
  15. Pink, You're only 17 years old. This past Saturday I preformed a wedding ceremony for a guy in his early 40's who's just now getting married. It took him over 40 years to find the right woman, and now he and his new bride are the happiest people I know (except me and my bride ). Look, you're only 17! You've got plenty of time to find the right one. You've still got the rest of High School, College or the "real world" to find a great woman to spend the rest of your life with. On the issue of the pills, listen to Muddy. Come on, you know you wouldn't give up your precious time on this earth fishing for those little green dudes because some girl needed "more time." We've all heard the "I need more time" thing before. Don't do anything crazy, just go catch a bass!
  16. The term "professional angler" or "professional fisherman" is subjective. If you fish some smaller tournament trails you are considered a "pro" if you fish in the front of the boat and an "amature" if you fish in the back. You have to go through a qualification process to become a BASS or FLW "pro." So, it's kind of subjective in my opinion.
  17. Great buck!
  18. I found this article on "another site." Aaron Martens told "another site" that a bait he's designed (based on one he's fished since he was a boy) will be on the market soon. It'll be branded under his new company Aaron Martens Baits. It's called the LBH (live bait head). LBH is going bigtime!!! ;D
  19. I read this on the Bassmaster web site and couldn't help buy post it. I'll leave it alone, but ya'll have fun. "I'd rather make $1,000 fishing than $100,000 doing something else." Veteran pro Byron Velvick summarizes his 2006 Elite Series season
  20. The first letter for "Christ" in Greek looks like our English letter "X." When the early Church was being persecuted, instead of asking others if they were Christians, they would mark an "X" on the ground, much like they did with the "Jesus fish" we see as bumperstickers today, so they wouldn't get their heads chopped off or be burned at the stake. No, it wasn't originally intended to be a politically correct name for "Christmas," but that's probably what it has evolved into today.
  21. I have seen a lot of pompous***** involved with the ABA , Might be part of the Qualifications , what do you think? Every one has a freedom to enjoy a day on the lake without the rudeness of others. Hey PutPut, I've noticed that every single post you've made since joining the board has been an ABA-bash. I'm gathering that you don't like them very much ;D That's a shame. I wish you could have been exposed to the great districts here in NC.
  22. I don't know how reliable Mr. Fred is. I've never had a bass boat go by me going 30-40 mph. 60-70, yea, but not 30-40. Fred dosn't know what he's talking about ;D
