Well, the South is dirty. At least it is this time of year, where I live. All of the farmers are out in the fields harvesting their crops and kicking up dust. That makes everything dirty down here in the South. In fact, we have to wash our windows twice a year: After they plant in the Spring and Harvest in the Fall. I find nothing derogatory about the phrase at all. It is accurate.

We fry them up with fish when we have a cookout, or grill them over the fire when we're camping. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but it's alright.

That's not political Sir. Republican, Democrat, Liberal, or Conservative, we can all agree on that we've got a mess in Washington! That's one thing our politicians have united us on, is our distrust of themselves.

As a Cowboys fan, I think they should keep the name "Redskins" but remove the logo of the Indian dude and replace it with a picture of a potato. The Redskin Potatoes!

I'm sorry, that's not how I interpreted your original post. That is personal responsibility. Sounds like a good way to pay for it to me.

Are you saying that the individuals who stole the stuff will be responsible for repaying the money out of THEIR income taxes, or that the taxpayers in general will be responsible?

Your post highlights the root of this problem: No personal responsibility. Somebody else (that actually pays taxes) will pick up the bill....

Here's a simple solution that will not be used by our "pander to the voter" politicians: Find out who made the excess purchases, and deduct whatever extra they used from their future monthly "checks". Again, this will never happen because it is common sense, and that stuff just ain't too common anymore.

First, I'm not an SEC fan, so the "you guys" deal is wrong. Second, I never said you used stats to prove that OU was good. I just said you used a bunch of stats (go back to page 10 to see a few examples). And, I don't think that anyone would argue with you that OU has a great tradition. But, as of today, the SEC is the top conference in college football. That was Sam's intent in starting this thread (before the season began), and his prediction has become obviously true. Obvious to everyone but you I guess.
